Artist Marina Zakharova was born in Kostroma. After completing high school, she graduated from the Yaroslavl Art School in 1987. In 1988, Marina became a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, and that same year she was awarded the Medal of the President of the Russian Federation for creative achievement.
Marina Zakharova's paintings are in the collection of the Kostroma Art Museum and in private collections in Russia and abroad.
