How to Fix Your Luxury Bag at Home
In this video, I show how I dye-fixed two luxury bags: one lambskin in black and one calfskin in white. I’ll walk you through each step, tools, and products.
I went through the entire process because when I tried fixing my own bags, it wasn’t easy and I couldn’t find a YouTube video that explained it clearly. I hope this helps you dealing with the same struggle!
Final tip: Leave your bag in a dust-free area with good ventilation and let it cure for 5 days before using it.

Below are the products I used in this video:
Daily Maintenance Products:
- Saphir Nappa Cream:
Light, more gentle. Cleaner & Conditioner, can remove light stains.
Make leather look more nourished.
- Saphir Renovateur:
I use it for thicker leather, this is a heavier version of the one above.
Cleaner & Conditioner, stronger smell. I use it for shoes, not luxury bags.
But still gentler than regular leather cream & cleaner.
*Note: The bottles looks the same, one has “NAPPA” the other one has “RENOVATEUR” on the lid.
- Saphir Foam Cleaner:
More effective than the creams above for cleaning. But it's a bit stronger. Be careful. Better for shoes, just not the white/light colored ones.
Preparer & Deglazer:
Pébéo Setacolor Leather Preparer & Deglazer
Leather Color:
Angelus Leather Paint: Please choose color accordingly. If not sure, buy them all because you may need to mix the colors.
Pébéo Mat Satin Setacolor Leather Paint
Color Thinner:
Pébéo Setacolor Leather Lightening Thinner
Angelus 2-Thin
I used the same branding for thinner and color when mixing just to be safe.
Coating:
Angelus 4-Coat Urethane Clear Coat - Satin
Angelus 4-Coat Urethane Clear Coat - Matte
Pebeo Setacolor Leather Matt Satin Varnish
