Nativity Play | Kala St. George Christmas & New Year Celebration 2023

Angel Gabriel greeted Mary. Mary was obedient and tender. Joseph, being a righteous man and unwilling to expose her to public disgrace, planned to dismiss her quietly. But just when he had resolved to do this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, When Joseph woke up from sleep, he did as he had to for Bethlehem, the city of David. When they arrived in Bethlehem, they were told that inns were full, as there were many travelers in town for the census. They had no place to stay. Seeing that Mary was due to give birth in a moment, owner of the inn allowed them to stay in a stable. While they were there, Mary gave birth to Jesus. Jesus was laid in a manger. There were shepherds living in the field near Bethlehem, watching over their flock. An angel appeared to them and told them, I have good news for you. A Savior has been born for you. This will be a sign for you. You will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger. Then more angels appeared, a whole heavenly multitude, praising God and singing, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, God of wealth to all people everywhere. When the angels had left them and gone to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, Let us now go to Bethlehem and find the baby the angel told us about. The shepherds ran with joy across the fields to Bethlehem. There they found the baby with Mary and Joseph. A unique star appeared in the sky when Jesus was born. Three wise men from lands far and away followed the star and found Jesus. They kneeled down in the manger, overwhelmed with joy. They offered gold, myrrh, and frankincense to baby Jesus. The birth of Jesus brought hope to many people. He grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with both God and man. He was the Son of God, sent to save all those who believe in Him from their sins.
