Very nice trios of this Shelly Porcelain China. Dates from 1923 to around 1940.
We've described the teacup set as a tall pedestal open Victorian bowl. It's halfway between a
Gainsborough shape and I think it's Milton is the similar shape with this high
extended loop handle flared rim indents around the rim but it's not absolutely a Gainsborough
shape so we're a little sort of intermediate shape design from the period. 8912 is the China
reference pattern. It's not actually in the Shelly archive currently but we are suggesting if
anybody from the Shelly archive is wanting to use our graphics and add this pattern to their
record please do so. We'd be happy for our graphics to be used. Nice little saucer plate.
Irregular scalloped indent rims. No moulding on this. Hand coloured this decoration. Very
of its era. 8912 again and there we go. Late Foley Shelly England green marks as you'd expect.
Same on the side plate. I mean just look at the condition of this. It's never been used. They are
near mint condition. These beautiful rose garland display pattern decorations with these
breaks with I don't know how to describe those really are the Art Deco Art Nouveau. I don't
think they really fit any particular decorative style other than the sort of English 1930s.
I love these the way they go together and they display just look at that so beautifully in terms
of the sequential sizes. They did get this right Foley when sorry Shelly late Foley when they were
doing these designs and putting these trios together on the sizes they were all thinking
what they were going to look like from above and in use. So a very pretty pattern in very
good condition. We've got some supporting pieces including a milk jug and sugar bowl and two cake
plates in the same pattern coming on sale. We've got about six to eight of these trios all in this
absolutely perfect mint condition. Again available from the Vintage and Antiques website. So if you
follow the link description below I hope this has given you an idea of the quality and condition
of the china that you will find on this listing. Thanks for watching.
