How to Draw a Christmas Ornament Easy and Cute

Hi guys, Winnie here. In this video, we're going to draw my Draw Still Cute Christmas Ornament. So let's get started. With this Christmas ornament, we're going to first start by drawing a circle. So right here, I'm going to start to attempt to draw a really big circle. And I'm free-handing it because I just think it adds a lot more whimsy and cuteness to a drawing when it's not so perfect. So here goes. Whoops, wobbly already. And I'm going to start to come down here and bring it around. So if you're drawing at home, it's much smaller. It'd be a lot easier because I'm drawing kind of big. I have to draw this circle in steps. Okay, there is my attempt at a circle. Okay, so then from there, I'm going to come straight up right in the center and I'm going to give myself two lines. So my center is about right here. I'm just going to give myself a little point. So I'm just going to go across about right here and right here. So then I go straight up with a line and straight up. And from there, I'm just going to connect it with a curve. Nice and easy. So that's the top of the ornament. And then let's see here. From there, let's come up here since we're up here already. And we're going to draw that little bow with a string bow that ties up the ornament. So we come right here in the center and I'm going to draw two big loops. So I'm going to go up one, bring it back, and another one, and bring it back. And then right here, I'm just going to draw a string that comes down, goes up. And right here, just add a little wave, give your string some movement. And then come in here and I'm just going to go very thinly to give my string some volume. And over here. So I'll go in there, erase that, come over here, and finish it. So I got that little bow in. And so then from there, let's give it a little highlight right here. So I'm going to come over about this top part right here and draw a curve. And another curve, just following my outside. And I'm going to connect it to give it a beautiful, shiny highlight. And then from there, let's bring this ornament to life. So towards the center right here, I'm going to draw a big, draw a circle. So I'm going to draw a big circle. And go over, draw my other circle. Oops. There. And then I'm going to come in here and give it two highlights. So I'm going to make one of them really big and another smaller one, just to make it look more magical. And a curved line at the bottom. And shade in the top. So like with all my Draw So Cute drawings, like say this ornament, let's just say you just wanted to draw an ornament. You didn't want to add eyes. That's perfectly fine. I hope I inspire you to just draw normal things too and not always have to add eyes to it. But sometimes by adding eyes to it and a little smile, it just brings it to life and makes it just so much more fun, right? OK, so then lines at the bottom. And same thing over here. So bigger highlight. And then a smaller one. And a curved line at the bottom. And shade in the top. There's so many things to draw for Christmas. It's just so fun to see all the possibilities. And I just can't wait to show them all to you. Too bad I only have like, what, 24 days? Because I don't think anyone's going to be drawing on Christmas Day, right? For anything for Christmas, that is. OK, so there. Now the lines at the bottom. OK, so then let's come up here, right here. And I'm just going to add a little curve to anchor my eye. And of course, a cute little smile right here in the center. And so this ornament's got a cute little smirk smile. And cap it off. And then you can come in here with some cheeks if you want later when you're coloring it. So then this ornament wouldn't have been complete without some sparkle, right? So right here, I'm going to add a little sparkle, kind of like a starburst. So let's say about right here, I'm going to start and bring down, straight down, and then curve it out. So same thing on the other side. Straight down, curve it out. Then I'm going to go straight down from up here, just so I know my sparkle is nice and straight. And from that point, I'm going to connect it. So same thing over here. Just connect it. And then I'll go in there and erase that line. So let's add one more over here, towards the outside. So same thing, curve. Then go straight down about this much. And connect it. There, so nice and simple, I hope. And very, very cute. Thank you so much for watching.
