Have you ever felt disconnected from life, as if you were just going through your routine?
Wake up, work, scroll, but not really live.
Well, last year I felt the same way.
As depressing as it may sound, I was just excited about nothing.
Daily routine, just the minimum, to somehow get along.
Not because I wanted to, but because that was all I had energy for.
If that seems familiar to you, don't worry.
Everything is fine with you.
This year I rebuilt my daily routine from scratch.
And now I'm really looking forward to waking up again.
The five habits that helped me to love my life again, also help you to love your life again.
The biggest change that actually made me happier was a morning without distractions.
No phone, no emails and no social media.
Believe me, I used to check my notifications immediately after waking up.
And my mood was in the basement even before I got up at all.
But the crazy thing was, I didn't care.
I was so addicted to my cell phone that I just took the stress every day.
However, it became clear to me that I was limiting my concentration and attention in other areas of my life,
because I was so distracted by my cell phone.
I couldn't concentrate on anything anymore, because I looked at my cell phone every five minutes.
So I got used to looking at my cell phone again,
when I finished my morning routine.
And that makes me feel much calmer, happier and more concentrated in every area of my life.
My nervous system has literally never felt better.
Another habit that made me love life again is the morning training.
I started lifting weights again.
When you were there from the beginning, I hope you are proud of me.
I'm through and through a Pilates girl and still am,
but through the strength training I really noticed a positive change in my body.
I have the feeling that I'm actually getting stronger.
Before that, to be honest, I was afraid.
Like every girl on this planet, I really thought that I would get wider and more muscular by lifting weights.
But of course that's not true.
Strength training has helped me to become slimmer and firmer.
And I feel really good in my body.
In addition, the endorphins that I excrete when lifting weights are amazing.
I feel so strong and powerful after the training.
I am literally unstoppable.
And it is such a motivating way to start the rest of my day.
But what I also noticed when lifting weights,
I'm getting hot really fast now.
That's crazy, because I've always been a very cool person.
In summer I always wore sweaters.
But strength training improves blood circulation and circulation,
so that the body can better regulate its temperature.
Madness. I haven't trained for two years.
But I'm glad to have started again, my life is really much better.
After training, I always start my morning with a sweet, cozy drink.
Normally, I would choose matcha or caffeine-free coffee.
But since I went through a really challenging health journey last year,
I just choose more things that actually contribute to my health,
instead of just looking aesthetic.
And my favorite morning drink is currently the Superfood Greens powder from Quint.
This is the drink that is part of my little morning drinking ritual.
It is the ultimate health drink,
that contains 78 vitamins, minerals, probiotics and superfoods in a delicious spoon.
I usually mix it with cold water,
but you can also put it in a smoothie.
The taste is really refreshing.
It is a little earthy and naturally sweet.
And if I'm honest, it replaced my usual morning matcha.
I never thought I would say that.
After I drank it, I realized that my digestion and my energy level
feel much more balanced all day,
and I actually feel good in my body,
not bloated or sluggish as I usually am.
The Superfood Greens stuff is scientifically founded
and is selected by experts for optimal absorption,
effectiveness and nutrient density.
What I love so much about Quint is
that they really put value on quality and transparency.
Everything is made with clean ingredients
and without unnecessary fillers or additives.
But it's not just about wellness.
Quint also creates the sweetest, most noble basics
and athleisure clothing that I have worn recently.
Your pieces are made from high-quality, sustainable materials.
Think of organic cotton, washable silk and even cashmere.
But without the high price.
This is one of my favorite workout sets from Quint.
It consists of the softest material ever
and fits into the right places on my body without suffocating.
No matter if you upgrade your morning ritual or your wardrobe,
with Quint it is very easy to feel good inside and out.
I will link the Superfood Greens powder and my outfit below.
Many thanks to Quint for sponsoring this part of the video.
Another life-changing thing
that really made my life better is meditation.
I am honest with you.
I used to hate meditation.
I thought it was pointless.
It had no real effect on me
and I really thought I could spend my time better elsewhere.
However, there are countless scientific studies on meditation.
People have been practicing it for thousands of years.
So it definitely works.
I just had to be a little more open-minded.
So I started with only 5 minutes of meditation.
After a while I was able to extend it to 10 minutes.
And that's basically what I'm doing now.
Meditation is not a miracle pill
that makes you forget all your problems,
but it calms the nervous system.
And the most important thing is
that it makes you aware of your thoughts.
If you feel like me and you often think too much,
are anxious or constantly stressed,
then you know how exhausting it is
to carry this whole ballast around with you every day.
But I love meditation
because it gives you the space
to just be.
In a world where we constantly move
from one thing to the next,
we need the time to just exist
and not think about anything,
to feel ourselves in our body
and just be present in the moment.
It's like a break, but only for yourself.
Meditation is one of those things
that don't immediately have an extreme effect on you.
But the more you do it,
the more your thoughts change over time.
And finally, many of the things
that used to bother you disappear
and you just become a happier, more present person.
Speaking of being present,
that used to be a big challenge for me.
I thought about 20 different things at the same time,
tried to do everything
and was still constantly distracted by my cell phone.
No wonder that I felt so stressed all the time
to have so much in control at the same time
and my cell phone crashed incredibly next to me.
One of my best habits
was to plan my scroll times.
Yes, it sounds weird,
but it has actually changed my life.
Let's not pretend,
we will never use our cell phone
and always be 100% concentrated.
I like to scroll, especially through the area.
So instead of blocking myself from my cell phone,
I simply integrate the cell phone check-in
into my daily routine.
This way I don't have to try
to check it all day long,
because I know that I will have time for it later.
I have an app on my cell phone
that prevents me from checking apps while working.
Even an attempt at social media fails.
And because I'm not so much on my cell phone anymore,
I'm less distracted,
less anxious and more relaxed.
If you consciously approach every aspect of your routine,
life becomes much easier
and you can really focus on everything
that you do throughout the day.
I think the most important lesson
that I have learned through all this
is that you don't fall in love with your life
by changing everything overnight.
It's about looking at the areas
that you are not satisfied with
and optimizing them so that you are.
Whatever bothers you,
you have control over changing it.
When you are at a point
where you feel stuck, unmotivated
or simply disconnected from life,
that's completely normal.
It happens to all of us at some point.
But as I said,
if you are not satisfied with something,
you have to stand up for yourself
and do something about it.
Thoughts? Seen? Wonderful!
Then get ideas, inspiration
to act and apply in everyday life immediately.
And if you want to learn more
about how you actually build up consistent routines
and habits,
then I have a great video for you here.
As always, thank you for watching
and see you next time. Bye!
