Beijing is moving to tighten restrictions on exports of fentanyl precursors to the United States. China’s Commerce Ministry announced new measures to strengthen oversight of chemicals used in producing the lethal synthetic opioid. Thirteen additional substances have been added to the export licensing list for shipments to the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The move comes shortly after FBI Director Kash Patel visited China on Nov. 7.
