The lights went off while Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was talking to The Guardian correspondent during the interview in Kyiv.

The video was released by the presidential press service on Nov. 10.

At the beginning of the conversation, the lights went off and were restored immediately after.

Since the start of the Russian invasion almost four years ago, Russia has made a point of attacking the power sector as the need for heating grows.

Frequent Russian attacks on energy infrastructure cause a power deficit and force authorities to introduce rolling blackouts.

Russia launched a barrage of drones and missiles in overnight attacks on Ukraine, targeting substations that supply two nuclear power plants and killing seven people, Ukrainian officials said on Saturday.
