Solo Camping and Fishing with the NEW Insta360 GO 3S

Want to live like this no more Don't want to crawl around on the floor Don't want to wake up crying anymore Singing, oh, that sound, that sweet, sweet sound Oh, that sound, that sweet, sweet sound Too much sorrow, too much pain Too many wars are we too, too late I hear the sound of the walls falling down Singing, oh, that sound, that sweet, sweet sound Oh, that sound, that sweet, sweet sound I started to shake, I started to groove I started to shout, I started to groove Until the ghosts got loose I know exactly what to do Wait and wait I started to shake, I started to groove I started to shout, I started to groove Oh, that sound, that sweet, sweet sound I'm not that excited about it because I'm not someone that normally wears cameras that much So I didn't really think I would use it much after the video The weird thing was though, during my hangar build that Go 3 ended up being the basically backbone of all the footage I got because it was so easy to just take and put on and wear So, when I heard the Go 3S was coming out this is finally 4K which means there's no compromise in resolution Same resolution as my main camera, my drones, everything else I was like, yes, I got to get me one. So for anyone that doesn't know what these are, basically it's an ultra compact camera. This is the camera itself. That's it right there. And then you also have this action pod that it just magnets right into. It's got a flip screen, which is great for vlogging, but you can also use this for remote viewing. So if you're setting this camera in some interesting angle, you can use the action pod to, you know, help you frame up the shot. But for anyone that hasn't seen how these work, ultra wearable. All you got to do is wear the little pendant. It clips on whether vertical, horizontal. They also have a hat clip, which is my favorite thing ever because that way I can just take this clip, slide it on my hat, and now you got hands-free footage. And it's not as bulky. You know, the people that normally wear the straps with the big old action camera on their head, it's just too much for me. So something like this, especially in the black color, I think it's pretty discreet, which makes me more comfortable wearing a camera around other people. It's available in both black as well as white. Same thing, just clips right on, super solid. Then you're off to the races. Insta360 also sent their quick reader, which this thing's pretty cool because basically all you do, you take the camera out of the action pod, put it in the quick reader, then you throw it in here. And what it's going to do is automatically go and transfer all the footage onto an SD card. So it's like an automatic offload. And then you can also plug this into your phone and be able to edit super quickly, which is really rad. You know, I think that's something that Insta360 has gotten really good at, is just making these things usable. And they continue to add smarter features to both their cameras as well as their apps. So it just makes it easier to actually make content. Because I feel like there's a million people out there that have bought some action camera, shot a bunch of footage on it that they put on a hard drive, never see the light of day. Insta360's got auto editing. They've got all this other stuff. Obviously, there's voice control. So I can just tell the camera to start recording and it's going to start recording. There's gesture control. You put your hand up like that, starts or stops recording. If you do a peace sign, it'll take a photo. They also just added interval video. So you can basically set it up to just shoot things at a certain interval throughout the day. And then it'll, through auto edit, just give you an edit at the end of the day of your whole adventure. So pretty cool. Anyway, I think probably going to get geared up and go see if we can't find some fish in this here river. Should we go catch a fish? Let's go for it. Hey, come here. All right, guys. This has been a really nice day. It's not often that I go out fully solo, especially to do like, you know, a camping trip. So it's been on my hit list. Glad to be out here doing it. I'm glad I brought Dax, because he's a good boy. And yeah, I've screwed around with different fishing setups. You can kind of do no wrong right here, but I'm going to switch over to a Euro style setup, European nymphing, because I think it'll be even more effective. I want to go out for one more session before I come back and kind of get set up for the evening with the fire and cooking food. But one thing I forgot to mention about these Go 3S cameras is that my old Go 3, which I think I told you guys, wasn't sure of at the start, ended up loving it for the hands-free POV. You honestly just get more authentic content when you forget that you're wearing something. And that's what these are so good for. They're so discreet. So, you know, minimally invasive and so easy to use, you kind of forget about it. But the issue I had with my Go 3 is when I did my paratrooper drop video, which I hope you guys saw. If you didn't, I'll put a link up here, but basically I dropped like 300 paratroopers from my plane from a little pod I built. Well, I made a little thing to drop the Go with a parachute. So it would kind of be the POV of one of the paratroopers. Unfortunately, it ripped off the parachute, fell somewhere in my yard, and I have yet to find it. So that thing's gone. Well, what they've added on the Go 3S is the Apple Find My. So it's kind of like Find My Phone or Find My Friends or whatever. Just kind of like the, what are they called? AirTag things. So you can use your phone to locate the camera. And with a camera that's as small as the little pill part of this is, that's pretty handy. So I am stoked on that. Overall, just enjoying playing with these. I hope you guys don't mind the shift from me trying to almost overproduce some of my content to going a little bit more down and dirty with the POV, but I almost like it more. It's weird. It's kind of like this, like I said, more raw, authentic look. Anyway, this was long-winded. I'm gonna grab my rod. We're gonna go do one more little fishing sesh, come back and get ready for dinner. So I'm not sure how this mic is gonna handle with the wind, but it was another successful mission. Got into a good handful of them. Always a fun time. I think I'm just gonna hang out by the fire and then wind down, and then we will get ready for bed. Good morning, everyone. I oddly slept so well. I'm guessing it was just the sound of the river in the background. Like it was just this perfect white noise. Put me to sleep. And Dax, who normally wakes us up once a night to go to the bathroom, he slept through the whole night perfectly. So it wasn't just me. But anyway, it's gonna be super hot today. Like we have a heat warning and all that. And we are at a pretty high altitude here. And with the tall grass, I figure it's probably not worth me hanging out and fishing for too long. So I'm probably gonna just kind of break down camp and get going home just so I can ensure that, one, we get out of here safe, and then two, avoid any rough air since Dax is still pretty new to flying. So I'm gonna go ahead and start packing up camp and we'll get going. Locked and loaded. I'm gonna get the plane pushed back, get Dax loaded up, and then we're gonna be blasting off out of here. What an awesome location though, right? This is probably, no, this is for sure, the best place that I have airplane camped. And I will definitely be coming back. You're a dog, Moosh. What's up, Mav? And the GO 3S has been actually a really big pleasure to use. It's just so easy. All the mounting solutions they have are incredible. I forgot to mention it's obviously waterproof up to 33 feet, which Dax tested out when he was swimming with it.
