In Episode 2 of our Teach a Baby to Float Series, we focus on one of the most important early milestones — helping babies feel comfortable lying still on their back for just a few seconds.
This step might look simple, but it’s a crucial foundation for everything that comes next. Before true floating begins, babies must first learn to trust the water, relax their bodies, and feel safe in this new position — even if it’s only for 3 seconds at a time.
Today, Leah Richmond from Go Swim Aquatics (@goswimaquatics) joins us again to learn and grow alongside our team, exploring how patience, gentle energy, and clear communication can help little swimmers reach this key stage.
Each calm breath and quiet moment builds the confidence they’ll soon need to float fully on their own.
