The Book That Opened My Heart
A book lay there – words made of light...
A heart that had never read – softly opens tonight…
Born in shadows, in times of need,
a child too weak to learn to speed.
The world was harsh, my heart still small,
yet somewhere a spark was calling through it all.
The rain kept falling, the nights were cold,
Grandmother’s hands – gentle, old.
A drop of juice, a final song,
and suddenly, my heart beat strong.
A life once lost, yet grace awoke,
from darkness into light I broke.
The book that opened my heart –
spoke of Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance.
No teacher, no words were ever so clear –
yet my soul understood what was written there.
Every page – a rising sun,
every line – a sacred tone begun.
The book that opened my heart –
broke the chains of fear and pain apart.
I could not read – no word, no sound,
yet in my soul, pure faith was found.
A neighbor read – I felt the light,
the words kept flowing – I lost my face in delight.
Three nights no sleep, just joy, just grace,
my heart danced still in heaven’s space.
The sickness faded, the pain was gone,
for the Falun turned, and healing shone.
A book of gold, not by man composed,
yet heaven’s words forever enclosed.
[female, soft, emotional]
I held the rice, the book in my hand,
but nourished was I by words from another land.
No teacher, no classroom, no command –
only the Light that sang through the land.
The book that opened my heart –
let my soul behold what mind could not find.
Truth, Compassion, Forbearance –
the keys to a higher mind.
No temple, no title, no stone,
only the Fa – eternal, pure, alone.
The book that opened my heart –
was Heaven itself, calling me home.
I was blind, but now I see,
no word on earth more beautiful could be.
The book that opened my heart –
leads me home through eternity.
