Welcome to Da Nang, Vietnam. For dinner, I've come to one of the most famous, if not the most famous, night markets here in the city,
Son Tra Night Market. We're gonna walk around the market, check it out a bit, and then we're gonna find some food to try tonight.
Let's go see what all they have to offer. Yeah, it's sugarcane juice. Yeah? Sugarcane? Kumquat?
All right.
You got some milk coffee, black coffee. They've got the kumquat tea,
which is really good. Some peach tea, some orange juice, and passion fruit juice. Put some kumquat in there.
It's really, really sweet. Really, really good.
Very refreshing.
Okay, come on.
Try our sugarcane juice.
Oh yeah, there we go.
That's really good. We'll sip on this as we walk around, taking the sights and the sounds of the Son Tra Night Market.
We've got lots of dry goods here. Some toys.
Right here at the main entrance, we have the food court.
Do some sculpture painting. Before we get started with food, let's take a walk.
All kinds of stuff here.
Find some food.
Is it here? Yes.
This is the best seller, bro.
This is pork.
Pork? Yes.
Very good, best seller.
Pork belly.
Yes. Very good sell.
Thank you.
Wow, there's so many options.
Seafood.
Oh, look at the seafood.
So for reference, this here, a hundred, that's a hundred thousand dong. That's about four USD.
Snails.
Some lobsters. Oh, there they are.
It's got a whiff of something. That was amazing.
400 for one.
Sorry.
Oh, we've got the Vietnamese pizzas.
So, the way it works is, you go to one of the vendors,
tell them you want to eat their food,
and then they'll sit you down.
Place your order, get some drinks.
And then you sit here and you enjoy your food.
This is what we're going to do, after we check some more stuff out.
Hello.
How much for one skewer?
40 per skewer.
Oh, okay.
Hello.
Unlimited options, pretty much.
Oh, this one looks pretty good.
Got some noodle dishes.
Hello.
Yeah.
So many lobsters.
I will think about it.
So, one lobster and then one shrimp, it's 150.
Okay.
I don't know.
Alright, so I wasn't expecting this.
Basically, every stand you walk by,
they try to pull you in and get you to sit down and order their food.
It's a bit of a hassle.
But we're going to find some food to eat.
The lobsters are looking good.
Each place has different pricing.
I guess it's probably to try to get people to come in.
I've heard 400 for the lobsters,
200 for the lobsters,
150 for the lobsters.
So, I'm not sure which one's true.
More lobster.
How much is the lobster?
200 for one lobster?
I can't eat three lobsters.
I mean, not me.
It's okay.
I've settled on some seafood for dinner.
Not a bad price.
200,000 dong, which is about $8.
You get a lobster,
two oysters, and two shrimps.
And it's barbecued butter garlic.
So, sounds pretty good.
And I might get something after this.
We will wait and see.
It is extremely hectic here, though.
We came here last week, and it wasn't nearly this crazy.
But it wasn't as late, either.
So, I think this is where it gets happening.
The later it gets, people come out for dinner.
And this is just the culture here.
This is life.
Drinks, too?
Do you have a drink menu?
Yes, over there.
I already finished my sugarcane juice.
Oh, thank you.
Enjoy.
Oh.
You want a mango smoothie?
Yeah.
Food is being cooked.
Should be coming out shortly.
My mango smoothie has arrived.
Looks more like mango juice.
It's very runny.
Let's give it a try.
Oh.
It's mango, all right.
Not as thick as I would like it, but it's good.
It's nice and fresh.
It's cold.
I like it.
Hello.
$40,000.
Hello.
Let's see. How much for the jackfruit?
$20 for jackfruit?
I'll take one.
I love me some jackfruit.
This is actually our last night here,
so I'm going to take
some jackfruit for the morning.
There you go.
Thank you.
Oh, those are some good ones.
I think this is mine.
Oh, yeah. Here we go.
Part of it.
The lobster should be coming.
We got the two shrimps and some oysters
topped with some peanuts.
Unfortunately,
my mic started having issues
and didn't work most of the night from here.
I slurped down the oysters,
enjoyed the shrimps,
finished my mango smoothie,
and devoured the barbecued
buttery garlic lobster tail.
Afterwards, I looked for some dessert
and settled on a strawberry ice cream roll.
Not only was it pretty good,
but it's entertaining just watching them make it.
Overall,
it was an enjoyable evening.
To wrap up the evening,
I sat at a small table with the dragon bridge
lurking in the background,
which represents power, prosperity,
and good fortune in Vietnamese culture.
Thanks for watching the video.
I hope you enjoyed it.
Until next time.
