According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, he will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
Prince Andrew soon to be a prince no
more. A historic step for the British
royal family. Buckingham Palace
announcing King Charles has initiated a
formal process to strip his brother of
all his titles. Andrew also forced to
move out of royal lodge in Windsor. The
move comes amid continued scrutiny of
Prince Andrew's friendship with late
financeier and convicted sex offender
Jeffrey Epstein. The palace saying in a
statement that their majesties wish to
make clear that their thoughts and
utmost sympathies have been and will
remain with the victims and survivors of
any and all forms of abuse. The royal
family really are sending a very strong
message with this statement that they
want to put every bit of distance that
they can between Prince Andrew and the
institution of the monarchy. They've
taken absolutely everything from him
apart from of course that family link
which they can't take. Epstein accuser
Virginia Ju alleged she was trafficked
as a teen to have sex with Prince
Andrew, a claim he has always denied,
including in this 2019 BBC interview.
>> I have no recollection of ever meeting
this lady.
>> None whatsoever.
>> On Monday, King Charles heckled over
Prince Andrew and Epstein.
>> How long have you known about Andrew and
Epstein?
>> Have you asked the police to carry on?
The palace saying in a statement, "The
moves are necessary despite Andrew
continuing to deny the allegations." In
a statement tonight, her family saying,
"Today, an ordinary American girl from
an ordinary American family brought down
a British prince with her truth and
extraordinary courage." Adding, "Today
she declares victory. We, her family,
along with her survivor sisters,
continue Virginia's battle." Jacquellyn
Lee, ABC News, Los Angeles.
