Hi, my name's Lucas. I'm 12 years old, and I'm from California. Two years ago, my life changed
forever. I was in a car accident with my family. My dad and my sister didn't make it. It's just
me and my mom now. My sister, her name was Emma. She was my best friend. We used to sing together
There's this one song we wrote together. We called it Still Here. It was supposed to be
our song to sing for fun, for family, for everything we loved. So that's what I did.
Every time I sing this song, I feel her right here next to me. I feel like she's still singing with
me, just from somewhere higher up. Tonight, I'm not just singing for me. I'm singing for my dad,
for my sister, for my mom, and for anyone who ever lost someone but still keeps going.
Because love doesn't end. It just changes where it lives. This is our song, Still Here.
There's an empty seat beside me, but I still feel you there. Your laughter's in the silence,
your shadow's in the air. Mom says I'm stronger than I know, but I still cry when lights are low.
Cause every song we used to sing still carries everything. I close my eyes, I hear your tune.
It feels like heaven's listening too. So I'll sing you home tonight. Past the stars, past the pain,
past the light, every note will find your name. In the sky, it won't fade. If love's a bridge from
me to you, then every word I sing is true. You're gone, but not alone. I'll sing you home. Dad's old
guitar is in my hands. The one he played when life began. His voice is gone, but I still hear
the way he said, be brave, my dear. And though I stand here all alone, the stage feels like a
place called home. Cause in the crowd, I feel your light. But my star's in this endless night.
The pain still burns, but it makes me strong. I'll keep your love in every song. So I'll sing you home
tonight. Past the stars, past the pain, past the light, every note will find your name. In the sky,
it won't fade. If love's a bridge from me to you, then every word I sing is true. You're gone,
but not alone. I'll sing you home. And when the crowd is standing still, I'll feel your heart.
I'll lift my voice, I'll let it soar. To say I love you once more. So I'll sing you home tonight.
Till the angels hold you tight. And someday when my song. So I'll sing you home tonight.
Till the angels hold you tight. And someday when my song is through, I'll walk the stars to be with you.
Till that day, I'll stand and sing. I'll sing you home.
