Emma sings “Part of Your World” just a few days after the death of Angela, a good friend and soulmate who, like Emma, suffers from gastroparesis. When she learns of Angela's death, Emma writes on social media, “Last night, my dear friend Angela became a little star! I will miss you so much, but every time I look up at the starry sky, I know you are looking back at me.” Emma sings at Angela's funeral.
Emma writes about the song “Part of Your World”: “This song means a lot to me! Ariel sings about how she wants to know what it would feel like to live a life outside the sea, she wants to be free! I can relate to her. I don't live in the sea, but I do know what it's like to live a different life!”
