Eurofighter C.16 Tifón at RIAT25
Oct 28, 2025
Taking to the runway now the Spanish Air Force C-16 Tifon.
This is their name for the Eurofighter EN2000 Typhoon, of course.
Two Eurojet EJ200 engines produce a combined 40,000 pounds of thrust.
I remember speaking to a test pilot a couple of years ago who said that all round the Typhoon is the most fun jet he's ever flown.
It's not the most powerful fighter in the sky, nor the most agile, but there is nothing else, he says, that is both more powerful and more agile.
It's an aircraft that has the ability to both gain speed and bleed speed very effectively, and that is one of the attributes of a big delta wing.
Any significant angle of attack can add a huge amount of drag which will sap speed extremely rapidly.
I tell you what, that's the most memorable Typhoon display I've seen in a very long time.
Absolutely fantastic. A great special tail scheme as well.
What a brilliant display from ALA-14 of the Spanish Air Force in the C-16 Tifon.
