Cheng I-Cheng vs Manika Batra - WS QF - #WTTLondon 2025

The ITTF Asian Championships in Wuxi. Zhang Yijin defeats Batra. Batra though, got her revenge at the Stade Contente de Ljubljana the same year. Winning impressively in three straight games. She has beaten some of China's top players before. On the backhand side, you can see her there disturbing the rhythm. Reversing the topspin on the ball to Zhang Yijin. Aggressive with the forehand off the bounce. That ball to Robert. Oh, amazing from Batra. Chinese Taipei player. Watch out for someone who got a game off Sun Yingshao at the Champions Macau this year. Brilliant switch and blocking from Batra now. Backhand service. Oh, another break for Zhang Yijin. Stunning propulsion. Oh, a finish of some swagger. She spotted it, plotted it, and dotted it right again. The player with the long pips can play a short ball with backspin. You have to lunge in and try and touch. Good fight here from Zhang Yijin. Two players who've played all around the world in this pivotal juncture of the match. And it is twiddled. Not something she normally does on receive. Three game points left. Spinny backhand serve. Signed, sealed and delivered. Zhang Yijin. The season-ending finals in Hong Kong, China. Don't miss out. Zhang. It's really, really interesting right now, going through a little bit of a generational reset. They seem a tad vulnerable. Chinese Taipei, a more established team. India, of similar depth, I would say. Oh, dispatches it there. Counter, nice timing after a little bit of a dry patch. Third time. She and this fairy-tale run of Maneka Batra. It is a whopping six-match. Oh, and she finishes with some finesse. Too hot for Batra to handle. Zhang Yijin cashes in. A wonderful campaign for Batra.
