Oh my gosh. Cave is firing. Me and Ivan are heading out.
Oh my gosh. Crazy waves at the cave right now. Very shallow. Riding 6.0. That one was sick.
Fins, same fins as my 6.4. Different leash, a little bit shorter.
Through the warmer, it's not super cold here, but through these, my vans, warmer water booties on
which are just epic for situations like this where
the reef is coming out of the water and you don't really want to land on it or you want to,
you don't want to land on it on other parts of your body. You want to land on your feet on the
reef and if you have little booties on, they protect you. So Ivan forgets all his stuff all
the time. These things are too big. Yes, they were mine. So we're heading out.
Whoa, how's that warble?
Crazy.
Now we just got in from the cave. Super low tide. It was actually like
not really the time you would paddle out if the tide was just dropping,
but it was so clean and the direction was pretty good. It was a little bit off for most sets,
but every once in a while it was a good one and so couldn't ask for more. We made it,
made the session worth it and then got three good waves. So clean, but crazy background and
crazy shallow. Such a high risk little wave, but so sick when you get them. That's what the
belt is all about. You duck, duck, goose a lot of waves, don't score, don't score, and then you
score. That's the best thing. Backside, Ivan, you want to tell them? Don't do it. I didn't.
Ivan, just backside it's definitely more hairy. You don't have as much maneuverability,
so Ivan didn't really get any waves and we just decided we're going to chase this other wave
while that bottoms out on the tide and then maybe come back after and try to score it.
When that tide fills in a bit, but we're limited. Everything's so tide dependent here,
so we just stayed suited up farming that yeast and jumped in the car straight over. We're gonna
go surf this other left. Hopefully it's doing it on the low like we're thinking, but if it's not,
we'll get there in time to just turn back around and drive back to the cave. So a lot of driving,
but when the waves are pumping, what are you going to do?
