Sarek National Park is a vast wilderness area of mountains, forests and glaciers in Arctic Sweden. In late September I hiked alone for six days in the southern reaches of the park from Kvikkjokk to Rapadalen. Bad weather forced me to change my plans and unfortunately I couldn't complete my planned route deep into the mountains. But I still had a taste of the fjall region and also explored the beautiful birch and spruce forests. I was fortunate to have the mountain cabin at Parte as a place to shelter when the weather closed in.

• MOUNTAIN SAFETY Remember that hiking and mountain climbing can be dangerous. The videos on my channel are for entertainment only (other than where specified). Always prepare well and be willing to abandon a trip if it becomes dangerous due to weather or unexpected trail conditions. If you are new to hiking and the great outdoors it's always a good idea to go with a guide or a more experienced companion. And remember - give the wildlife some space, leave no trace, go quietly and enjoy it out there!
