My Autumn Wellness Routines- Elderberry Syrup, Decluttering & Mindfullness

~Sage and Lemon sore throat tea: I like to make a teapot of it and sip throughout the day

●2 tbsp dried or fresh sage
●couple slices of lemon
●1or 2 tsp raw honey (or regular honey)



~Basic Elderberry Syrup: makes about 2 cups

●1 cup dried elderberries
●4 cups water
●handful of chopped fresh ginger
●1 large cinnamon stick
●4 cloves
●2 star anise
●1 cup honey (raw is best if you have it for extra antimicrobial benefits)

Add all the ingredients apart from the honey to a pan and get to a boil. After this, simmer the mixture for about 40mins or until the amount of liquid had reduced by about half. When its done, strain the liquid and dispose/compost the rest.
After the liquid has slightly cooled, add in the honey, stir well and pour into your chosen container. It keeps well in the fridge for at least 2 months.
