Hey art friends, welcome to today's how-to.
Today, I'll be teaching you how to draw Donald Duck.
So first, let's get started by drawing in the beak in the center.
So over to the left, we're going to curve our line down for our left eye
and then up, and we're going to bring that back over in towards the center.
Starting back on our center line now, we're
going to start by dipping this down again in the middle
and then curving this up and over towards the right.
Over on our left-hand side now, we're going to curve this line over
and then all the way around and in.
Moving back over towards our right-hand side,
we're going to start back on that line and curving this all the way
over and in towards the middle.
Now, moving back over towards our left side,
we're going to curve this line around and then
we're going to bring this up and in towards the center.
And then moving back over on our center line,
we're going to curve this all the way around and then
back up and over towards the side.
Coming in underneath now, we're going to curve this line down, across,
and then all the way up and over on the right-hand side.
And now we'll move above and frame in our eyes.
So on the right-hand side, we're going to draw a nice big oval shape
for our right eye.
We'll move over to our left side, lining this up at the same height,
and we'll replicate that again.
Moving in towards the corner now of both eyes,
we're going to draw a small oval shape.
Moving over to our left side, we're going to draw a small arch line
on the left eye, and we'll do the same thing, stepping over to the right.
Now from here in the middle, we're going to draw some hair.
So we're going to draw a curved line that comes up towards the top,
arching that back in.
And now in the middle here, we're going to curve our line back down
towards the bottom, curving that back up.
And then we're going to arch this down towards the bottom
one more time, arching that back out and over towards the left.
We'll frame in the rest of the head now.
So over on our left-hand side, we're going to come up a little bit higher
and we're going to curve this line all the way over,
and we're going to bring this down and then out, curving it back in.
Underneath this, we're going to curve another line out and then bringing it
back in again.
And then now from here, we're going to draw a line that comes down on the bottom.
Moving over towards the right-hand side now, we're going to start back on the top,
curving this line all the way around, and then down, and then out.
And then now from here, we're going to arch this line back in.
We're going to arch this down on the bottom, and then curve it back in again.
And then now from here, we're just going to bring this line down again like we did
on the left-hand side.
Moving up above now, we'll draw in the hat.
So on the left-hand side, we're going to draw a straight line that comes
up towards the top.
Moving over to the right, we're going to draw another straight line.
Now from here, we're going to close this line off.
So on the left-hand side, we're going to curve this line all the way over,
and we're going to bring this all the way over towards our right-hand side.
Over on the left now, we're going to start by curving this line all the way up,
and then we're going to bring this in towards the middle and then moving back
up towards the top we're going to arch this line all the way up towards the top
of our page and then we're going to curve this back around and in towards
the side. Over on our left hand side now we're
going to curve our line down and then in for the ribbon behind. Moving underneath
now we'll frame in the body. So coming over towards the left we're
going to draw in the bow so we'll draw a small oval shape right in the center.
Over on the right hand side we're going to arch our line all the way around and
going to curve this up and then back down.
Over on the right hand side now we're going to start a little bit further in
and we're going to curve this all the way around and then back up and in
towards the middle. Then moving over towards the left
we're going to curve this down and then back
in towards the bottom again. Moving over towards the top we're going to draw an
arch line that comes out towards the top and then moving over towards the left
side we'll replicate that again. Coming over towards the right now we're going
to draw a small arch line for our shoulder. On the bottom line now we're
going to bring this down and then straight down towards the bottom and now
moving over towards the top we're going to continue to bring this out bending it
at the elbow and bringing it back down again. We're going to connect this with a
curved line now from left to right. Coming up a little bit higher we're
going to replicate that again and then moving up one more time we'll do that
one last time. Moving in towards the top we're going to close this off with a
diagonal line and now moving over towards the left-hand side we're going
to arch our line down towards the bottom and then from here we're going to curve
this line all the way around and up and over towards the right. Now moving over
towards the left-hand side we're going to curve this line around and then down
and then we're going to do that one more time drawing another curved line that
comes up towards the top. Moving over towards our right-hand side now we're
going to curve this line over and then back up and over on the top. Coming over
to the left now we'll draw in our left arm so we're going to start on the top
curving this all the way around bending it at the elbow and then bringing that
in and across and then from here we're going to draw a curved line that comes
up moving up again one more time and replicating that. Moving over towards the
right-hand side now we're going to draw in our right hand so we're going to draw
a curved line that comes down towards the bottom. We're going to come over
towards the top here and we're going to bring this line around and then up and
we're going to bring this across and connect that down. We're going to come
across and do that again one more time bringing that in and then now from here
we're going to bring this line up and then back over and across again. Over on
the left-hand side now we're going to curve this line all the way around for
the bottom of the belly and bring this all the way up and over towards the top
And now on the left-hand side, we're going to bring a line that comes down and then in for our left hand.
Moving in towards the bottom now, we'll draw in the feet. So on the right-hand side,
we're going to draw a curved line that comes down towards the bottom and then back out.
And then moving over towards the left, we're going to curve this down and then out towards the left.
On our left-hand side, we're going to arch this around and then in.
And moving over towards the right, we're going to arch this further out towards the right and then curving it back in again.
Now over on this left side we're going to arch this line up, back in, and then
back up and over towards the right. And now we'll move over towards our left
hand side. So on the top here we're going to arch this line around and then in.
We're going to come beside that and arch this around and then in towards our foot
on the right. Over on the bottom now we're going to bring our line all the
way across and then arching that back in. We'll move further over towards the top
curving that around and then back in. And now one last time we're going to
start up on the top arching that all the way over and back in towards the right.
And that is it! That's how you draw Donald Duck! You can pause the video and
color it the way that I have done or you can change your colors up if you'd like.
