Water polo is great.
We are representing the Olympic Club from San Francisco, California.
We've been playing together for 20 years plus, and the experience together really helps.
We are playing 65 plus.
Well, I know we look like we're in our 30s, but we're actually 40 plus.
I'm 77 years old now, and I'm playing water polo since 50 years.
We are in the 30s age division.
Masters Games is greater for our age group. I think that's important.
And it's a place that we can enjoy, and it's not too fast for us, so I think that's important.
Our whole team is actually worldwide.
We are mixed. Some people from Brazil, some people from Spain.
The competition's fantastic, but it's more about the camaraderie at this point.
I think it's a good start for us, but I think the most important thing is the friendly.
We are playing just for fun, and we made friends for the whole 50 years ago.
One thing I like about water polo is every 30 seconds you have a chance to redeem yourself.
It's a place where we make friends.
For a start, we've been enjoying the elite game.
We've been helping out and watching all the world-class games.
That's really something that we don't get to see day in, day out.
I think that's important, and also for our community to learn.
My personal third World Championships, it's great to be here in Singapore.
First time for many of us.
It's my first time being in Singapore. So far, it's been spectacular.
I think the experience of being able to travel as working moms and working women,
it's one of the best experiences, and it keeps us in the water.
It keeps us in shape, keeps us having fun, laughing, dancing,
and then we play a little bit of water polo.
Happy to win our first game, and looking forward to a whole week of competition.
A great way to open up. We're excited for the rest of the tournament.
