The way this culture is going is so easy to neglect our mental and emotional state.
We are so used to busyness that we don't know how or when to stop. Our minds and hearts are
working at full capacity leaving little space to just being present. We simply have lost the beauty
of stillness and the main reason for being alive.
Finding time to slow down can seem difficult and at times very impossible in today's fast-paced
world where busyness is glorified. The simple art of stillness has been lost and little by little
is becoming a rare commodity. However, there is immense value in making time to slow down.
It is in these moments of stillness that we can not only find clarity, connection, and renewal
but come face to face with our true selves, our God, and the reason why we were created.
Embracing stillness allows us to cultivate the practice of being fully present in the here and
the now as we become aware of the moment and to find contentment with just enough in a world
filled with distractions. By slowing down to pay closer attention to our thoughts, feelings,
and surroundings, we can improve our well-being and reduce the amount of stress and worries we let
in. When we quiet the noises of the external world, we can better hear the one from our Father.
We come face to face with who we are and create space for new ideas to emerge.
In a world dominated by technology and superficial interactions, slowing down not only benefits us
but also enables us to appreciate those we love the most by spending quality time,
something few of us still practice.
When we take time to prioritize stillness, we find joy and experience the type of peace that
surpasses all understanding in the middle of any situation because we connect with the heart of
the Father. These moments of slowness and stillness reminds us of the beauty and richness
of the world all around us and moves us away from what this culture is often letting us know
the success is. Making the time to slow down and to be still for just a moment daily,
it's not just good for you, it's crucial for your well-being. We can cultivate mindfulness
and creativity and promote mental and emotional health, not to mention our spiritual health.
It deepens our connections with others, finding ourselves in a better place. We find joy in simple
pleasures and we come to the heart of the Father in His will for us. In doing so, we can live more
fulfilling and meaningful lives grounded in presence, purpose, and peace. Thank you for
watching. Until next time.
