We got our hands on a kids Android tablet from Temu and decided to show you a full setup and walkthrough. From unboxing and first boot to enabling parental controls and testing out kids mode, this video gives you an idea of what to expect if you’re considering an affordable tablet for your children. It’s not a full review—just our impressions, but it might help you decide if it’s worth your money.
What's up guys? So today's video is
going to be a little different in in the
sense that usually I try to review the
product and bring out all its bad and
good features and give them to you so
that you can decide whether you want to
buy it or not and what I thought of the
product. This one is a little different.
It is a kids strap but I just ordered it
for my kids. I have four kids, two
daughters, two sons and uh uh my two
daughters are the oldest. So uh they are
always in a trouble. So I do have one
tablet already. I wanted to add another
one. Just looked around and the
platforms and wanted to buy something
that I really liked and also that was
reasonable. So finally after going
through Amazon and uh AliExpress, Teimo,
I usually like buy from these three
platforms and wherever I can find the
one I like the cheapest, I go tend to go
with it. So no favorites there. So I
ended up going with the signage tablet.
The issue with these kind of tablets is
that uh they're kind of disappointing to
be honest. 2 GB RAM, 32GB
uh storage. I mean, what are you even
talking about? So, even in this one,
this was the best I was able to find in
the budget I had. Uh I hope there are
less reflections. It is I think uh
listed right now $62 something. It was
more I think at the moment when I bought
it. I think so. And uh even when the RAM
they mention it's usually like three RAM
and then plus three expandable. I mean
what is expandable? They're usually
treating your storage as RAM. However
you want to spin it, it's not RAM. RAM
is just RAM, random excess memory and
your storage cannot keep up with the
speed of the RAM. You can just treat it,
try to mimic it, but it is still not
RAM. That's the reality. But at least
this one had like 3 GB of RAM mostly had
2 GB or something like 1 GB and then 1
GB like they were with 2 GB RAM as well.
I mean what is even going on like the
kid that it it looks like the apps that
kids use don't need a processing power
at all but what about the fundamentals
like Android itself and the play store
which is also takes a lot of memory and
like a fundamental services they tend to
consume so it was kind of disappointing
experience uh wasn't able to find an
excellent tablet for the kids but this
was the best I was able to find so let
me show you again 3 +
expandable. So to total you can say it
is 6 GB 3 GB of real RAM 3 GB mimicry of
the real and at least it has 64 GB of
storage which is good as compared to
32GB and one other thing like Android 11
Android 10 still going tablets going
with those Android 16 is coming it is in
beta now but at least I was able to find
it in uh Android 14 it has some unknown
uh unknown processor to uh octaore. At
least it had Wi-Fi 6. That is uh good
thing because at least at the end you
are going to use Wi-Fi cameras are okay.
Not priority here. So that's good.
Display uh
specifications 800 uh pixel. So okay.
And then it has parental control all
those things which are needed. And it it
says GMS whatever that means. So I guess
it does not have any kind of sim or
anything like that. So it is max shinish
brand. I am actually not familiar with
it honestly. I just went around and uh
tried to buy the whatever I found the
best in the budget I had and this was
what came out of it. So I have no
affiliation with Max Signage or anything
and uh I don't have any affiliation with
uh brand uh like the website itself. It
was just something I picked up. Uh I I
always try to go for the least uh are
the best value for money. Let's quickly
go through it. It's it is not going to
be a big video in the sense that I don't
know anything about it other than what
you know. So let's quickly check it out.
Let's see how it actually feels like and
let's hope that my daughters like
it. Packaging is good. There isn't uh
anything that you can complain about it.
At least they're not cheap out in
packaging.
Okay. When you're opening it, you don't
feel like it is some kind of a cheap out
product. And you can see like it came
well packed. So that's good. So far so
good. Big handle. I mean easily kids can
carry it and uh the color was the choice
that I made based on preference of my
daughters. They uh love this pink color
and uh uh one of them actually love the
blue one but at least both have gravity
towards pink which was a common so I
went for it. Uh even the one try to love
uh the blue one. Let's put it aside. The
screen uh the appearance and other
things are actually good. I mean it's
really lightweight. It is not plastic.
I'm not sure what kind of material it is
to be honest. But whatever is it is
really lightweight and very easy to
hold. No sharp edges or anything like
that. It's very easy to hold and
rotatable. I think it should be able to
like stand as well. See? And then you
can take it and carry it around.
It was 10 in or something like that if
I'm correct. Sorry, I don't even Yeah,
10.1 in uh
display one year
warranty. Not sure if I ever going to
use
warranty. Google kids space something
like that. I hope they send some
stickers as well. My daughters really
love stickers. But there are some
documentation again very kids style. So
that's nice. At least they have a theme
like user manual and everything, it's
made to look like for kids. So that's
good. So whatever brand you are, you
have my appreciation for at least paying
attention to details. I think that's it.
Model K109 Pro. So if you have going for
it, it is manual in multiple languages.
Do we have anything
else really?
I hope you sent a ch Oh, thank you. I
was really going to be pissed if you did
not send the
charger. Thank you. I'm not uh even if
it is a small one, I still like it. It
is 10 watt adapter. I'm not sure if you
can make it out from here, but it is 10
watt
adapter. Also a little bit unique like
as compared to others. US style switch.
You have the not 1 m I think 1 ft or 1.5
ft. So we have type A to type C. So it
charges by type C. That's good. Nothing
by micro. I think that's
it. Nothing else.
Yeah. And I I think that's more than
enough.
But this kind of tablet. I mean it's not
like I paid a lot but overall with
appearance and everything uh I I like it
at this stage. We'll see how the
brightness
is the cheap tablets and everything they
usually like tend to cheap out on
brightness. So we'll see. Then the
speakers because this is a multimedia
consumption uh uh tablet. So it's not a
tablet that is going to use for other
stuff a lot. Kids are going to be be
using it for multimedia and learning. So
that should be it. Speaker, good screen,
good
speakers. Headphone jack, volume power
on micro SD card. Okay, so you have the
micro SD card slot. You can increase it
if you want to type C. Remove the
protective film. Power tablet on the
skin
[Music]
tone. Complete the following
instruction. Your device is ready to go.
Okay. Basic instructions. Oh, well, that
wasn't nice. That experience did not go
well. All
right.
Okay. Where are the
buttons? There they are. So, we have the
type-C port here. Then we have the
buttons. Volume plus. Do we have
anything else? I think the these are for
speakers.
camera and that's it. No other
ports. Oh, headphone jack port
here. Some people still have headphone
jack. Well, Apple ditched them long ago.
Not sure why. Let's try to turn it on
right off the bat.
Not brightness looking good. Let me turn
off the studio lights. Maybe it would be
better. in that
regard.
Okay. Okay. I need to set it up. So, it
is at 90% battery is asking for Wi-Fi.
Let me actually set it up and then we
can try
it. All right. So I just completed
setting it up and uh I set it up with my
daughter's oldest daughter's email and
with with my email so that I have
parental controls uh just in the
settings so that there are no apps
visible on the play store with inapp
purchases so that they can't make any
purchases unless I enter the password
and I do it. I also adjusted the
settings to block uh mature or explicit
kind of uh websites and those kind of
settings. So it's done. Now it is asking
the kid to do the setup. But uh since I
am sharing the video so I'm going to do
it. But first of all, regarding the
screen, this is a full brightness. Right
now, you're seeing and while in this,
this is normal room light that you're
seeing. And this it looks good. But if I
turn on the studio lights, uh it would
not be this much visible. Uh it is not
that high definition, but I think for
the kids, uh it's much better. Uh you
can if you look closely, you can
definitely spot the pixels. Uh these are
not sharp. Icons are not that sharp. So
don't expect a high resolution screen at
this
point. But overall I think the colors
are nice that I can say. So for
example and it is slow that's for sure.
See I press the home button and it is
saying okay give me a second let me do
my thing whatever that thing
is. Okay I just want to go back to home
screen if you would let me.
Home, home, home, home,
home. And I'm not sure about the Wi-Fi 6
thing,
man. It was taking quite a bit uh
to load
it. Let me
just Can I just cancel it? Can
I? What the heck?
What is going on going to have a lot at
least do
something? No idea what is going
on. Can I open the settings? Let's try
to go to
settings. All right. At least settings
are
here. Okay. Okay, if I go back to home,
this becomes home. What is even going on
here? Let's see. Is it
home? No, this one is not
home. All right, I'm back. And actually,
it wasn't slow. It was just downloading
a bunch of stuff because I just set it
up. So, it was downloading a bunch of
apps, updating Google Play Store. That's
why it was slow. It is much better now.
So, and by the way, this is the default.
It I don't think it lets me go to the
home screen at all. Uh this is Google
Workspace. So, it controls everything
through the home link app. So, I
whatever settings I have adjusted in the
family link, it will just allow that. So
it has
apps and videos all those things. We
have games again filter. Then we have
watch you have because uh I don't think
I allowed the
YouTube. So it will just allow you to
watch popular videos. If you go into
something it will
launch the YouTube Kids app.
good. And the sound is not that bad. So
for kids, it is it's more than
enough. And let's go back and see. Let's
see if I go back. See, it takes me back
to the Google Workspace app. And let's
see what apps can I choose. Oh, sorry.
Go back. Can I click
YouTube? Don't
allow because I don't think I set it set
up the YouTube. So, it should probably
not allow
it. Let's
see. Get help from parent. See? So,
anything that you haven't allowed, it
will not be allowed here.
anything uh out of the the ordinary if
you want to change it, it would ask you
like get help from a parent. So the
parent comes in either sign in here or
through the family link app can update
it which is really cool. Let me show
you. By the way, another thing that uh
wanted to share is that it is running
Android Go edition. So that's why maybe
the RAM for these kids tablet are low
because Android Go edition can run on
low memory. Uh so I did not know that.
So for example in this case uh
uh this is the family link app. See so I
can manage a bunch of Google play
YouTube all those settings. My kids are
all showing up here. See hi
Shaatma and then I can see their screen
time. Haven't I added this
device? We'll have to see. It should be
showing up here. And the location I can
see the locations as well. And uh it's
loading. And uh again all the settings
are here. So I can control whether I
want to show the location or not. So all
those settings are here. You can control
them either from here or from the tablet
directly. It is totally up to you. Can I
double tap it? Need to optimize it.
And it does not let you go back to if my
assumption is correct, it does not let
you go off the screen. See? And even if
I like do this and then I try try to
like
uh this is YouTube. Let's clear it. And
it still comes back to the screen. So it
keeps the person right where it is
needed. And then if you go to settings,
there are multiple settings that you
can't cannot even try out. Uh for
example, if I come to location settings,
if I can find it. Uh there you are. And
if I try to see it says pon needed. So
sensitive
uh applications or settings cannot be
accessed from here. But that's I think
many of you are already aware what the
family link does. But this is the thing
that it is designed to hold you in like
that. So it will not let you go back to
the home screen. It will always bring
you to this screen and my stuff here.
You have calculator
clock all those things are here. Let's
try the camera. Camera. Where is the
camera? How can I try the camera
here? I'm still this new kid stuff to be
honest.
Watch. How do I
play
home my stuff? Where is the
camera? I wanted to show you how the
camera looked like but for some reason
I'm unable to find
it. Do I need to allow it from the
settings or
what? We have Google Play, Google
Assistant, Google
Search. Not
sure what the heck, man. I can't do
simple thing, which is just
I just want to show you camera. What is
this? Parents hold and
open. Free up space. Device settings.
Add more apps. This is for Can I
exit? I can exit it because this but
this is not what I wanted. I wanted to
show you the camera. Camera.
Camera. Where is the
camera? How do I How do I find the
camera? Camera.
Watch,
man. All right, I think this video has
gone long enough. Let me just show you
the settings. I forgot to mention the
battery life and I also need to show you
the
uh what's the capacity? 5,000. So good
battery life in that sense. Show battery
percentage app. What else? Let me show
you about this tablet. So it's model
number is K109 Pro. Uh signage was it?
It also said Apollo sign. So it either
Apollo sign or signage. Apollo sign K109
Pro. This is the app. You can see
Android 14 Go Edition
here. Where is the RAM? Where is the
storage? Let me show you the storage.
Storage. Storage. Storage. There you
are. You have the storage here. Just 12
GBUs. Bunch of available storage. And uh
overall I think I mean uh for the
price I'm not sure if there are better
options out there but based on my
research and everything honestly I think
it is good option and uh after using it
it is not uh that
slow. It is responsive enough for kids
and since that's uh the targeted
audience of this app I think it does its
job well. Let me show you. Oh, there was
a the camera. I just saw the camera.
Sorry, the video is getting longer, but
I still need to show you the
camera. There you
are.
Uh, can you see it? Yeah, I think good
enough for cars. Don't expect a lot, but
I think it's not that bad,
honestly. Uh, let me switch the camera.
Can I switch it? Can you see me?
Yeah, see not bad for video calling as
well,
right? So, finally I was able to show
you the camera. Then you have the
Chrome. You can open some apps and uh
what is this? Can I open a bunch of apps
here as well? That's a weird kind of
scenario. I I mean why couldn't I just
find it directly?
So, if I go back, it would say, "Hey,
welcome back." But can I see that? Oh,
why didn't I notice it here? When you do
swipe up, you can actually see the
camera right here. Stupid
me. Anyway, let me just show you how it
looks from the inside. I have wasted a
lot of time,
man. Let because this is just a cover
which you can buy for any tablet.
This is a
tablet. Back side is
plastic. Not very
thick. Not very heavy as
well. Feels solid. And even without it
actually looks good. Even if you hold
it, it does not look bad.
Honestly, supervenient camera, whatever
that means.
What didn't it say dual camera or I
think they were by dual they meant front
and back. Is it removable? I feel like
it when I flex it I feel kind of flex
like it is removable. I'm not
sure. Probably
not. This is tablet. You can even take
it out. It's very lightweight actually.
Not that thick at all. So even without
the cover tablet is not bad.
So my final impressions again nothing
detail just found it bought it and
giving you my impressions on the go and
I think
man it is good enough for the money. So
if you're looking out for a good tablet
and you have seen the features I think
it's good buy to be honest. Uh the cover
is good
but see
and nice cover with a nice and then you
get all the Android Go edition and
everything fundamentals are here.
Performance isn't bad at all and uh
speaker is good actually the in the
sense that it has a quite good volume.
Battery uh is 5,000. I'm not sure how
exact long it will last, but 5,000
milliamps ampere is a lot of
battery. Feels solid even without it.
So, if I wanted to say can I recommend
it to anyone, I would say yes. Anyway,
let me know what you think. Take care.
Bye.
