On Day 6 of China’s National Day (中国国庆节) and Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节), we visited ShengJiaShe — a vibrant neighborhood blending tradition and technology.
Here, the classic lion dance was reimagined with robo-dogs.
Stilt walkers moved through the crowd,
traditional costumes filled the parade,
and live performances lit up the stage.
One building wall became a projection screen,
and modern technology was recreating the atmosphere of old Chinese films.
Narrow alleyways added charm,
and lanterns glowed in every direction.

This celebration proves that China’s festivals aren’t limited to major cities — they thrive in local communities, where creativity and culture meet.
