Kingfishers...

It's always a pleasure to spend time with kingfishers. Sitting still isn't really their thing unless hunting and when you get more than one bird in the same area things will more than likely get a little more interesting. Those little behavioural traits, often quite individual, are what I like photographing the most and kingfishers make excellent subjects in that regard. This is a short compilation of kingfisher clips taken at various sites near to where I live in North Wales.

All recorded and shot with Sony a1 and Sony 600mm GM, off a bean bag or backpack with cable trigger to avoid movement. The camera built-in mic was used for sound recording. The birds can be heard fine but there is some background noise as busy roads aren't too far away.
