Lonely 'unprofitable' cow is so happy to make a friend

Daisy Bell was born a twin, so she was a throwaway.
Twins that are born as a female and male,
the females usually are unable to reproduce.
And as a dairy cow, they need to be able to produce
to make a profit, so she was nothing.
And I said, she probably can't make us money,
we're just gonna throw her in the corner of a stall.
Her brother, I believe he went into the meat industry.
The neighbor decided to step in
and she fostered Daisy Bell for about a week.
Obviously, it's difficult to have a cow inside of a house,
so she was looking everywhere
for anybody to take in this calf.
Not only did Daisy Bell have the possibility
of not being able to reproduce
and being labeled as a throwaway,
she had pneumonia and she also has cataracts.
Obviously, non-profitable for a lot of the people
that would normally take her and use her for food
or anything as far as animal products go.
She called around and luckily Sasha Farm
was able to bring her in.
Susie was a young lamb that was also a throwaway.
Unfortunately, it was unwanted by the farmers that had her.
It was the most incredible thing
to see them bond almost immediately.
They were really interested in each other.
Susie was a little bit nervous at first,
but once they started running around and getting the zoomies,
it was like they knew each other their whole lives.
I feel like they knew that they had a similar story
and they ended up bonding more
because you would see them cuddle a lot together.
Anytime one would go somewhere,
the other was right behind, always playing together.
Daisy Bell was so, so gentle with her.
When they were playing, their friendship grew quickly
and not only that, I was a part of that.
All of the cows that I meet, they're just like grass puppies.
There it is, that's the spot.
And to see them have the opportunity
to be able to live their life the way they're supposed to
as these sentient beings,
like your companion animals, dogs and cats,
they're very similar and that's exactly how they act.
They get the zoomies, they love treats, they love boops,
they know their name, they come when you call them,
they wag their tail when they're excited,
they jump up and down when they're happy.
When Daisy Bell and Susie first came here,
they were very lonely.
They didn't have any family, they didn't have any friends
and so when Susie met Daisy Bell,
it was more of Susie being that comfort
and that friend and the companion that they really needed,
especially as young animals.
And it didn't matter if she was a sheep
and Daisy Bell was a cow,
they bonded just like anybody else would.
And now that they're grown up,
they're out in the herd together.
