Provenance: Maurice de Ramaix

This charger once belonged to the distinguished Belgian diplomat and collector Maurice de Ramaix (1850–1918), whose remarkable collection of Delft faience was assembled in The Hague and later housed at his château in Grune. De Ramaix played a pivotal role in rekindling appreciation for Delftware in the late 19th century, preserving masterpieces like this one at a time when they had yet to be fully discovered.
