Protesters around the United States joined the anti-Trump No Kings rallies on Saturday,
with large crowds showing up in big cities like New York, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
In New York, thousands of protesters gathered in Times Square, then walked the streets chanting
and carrying signs that reflected their discontent of the Trump administration policies.
In Washington, D.C., protesters marched along Pennsylvania Avenue before attending speeches
from political figures, activists, and celebrities. Protests were also held outside of the United
States, with hundreds joining in Paris and London, and a few hundred people joining in Madrid.
No Kings organizers expect 2,600 rallies across all 50 U.S. states. The event drew support from
prominent figures including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senator Bernie Sanders,
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton,
and a range of celebrities. Meanwhile, the event's webpage for New York City states that
several Marxist organizations are among its partners, including the Communist Party USA,
Young Communist League, Freedom Socialist Party, and Democratic Socialists of America. Officials
from the Trump administration and Republican lawmakers called the events Hate America rallies.
Now we know Saturday's events are actually funded by Soros and sponsored by the Communist Party USA,
among other far-left and communist groups. House Speaker Mike Johnson wrote in a social
media post on Friday, How could there any more appropriate nickname than the Hate America Rally?
