Brett's have the puck into the offensive zone on the power play
attacking to go to our right. Forsberg to Matt Wood, right
circle dangles in front and Stamko scores!
Winnipeg Jets future on the back end. 55th pick in 2022 and
here's a chance, and Zookin scores!
What a fantastic pass from Kevin He, a power forward out of the
Ontario Hockey League. Watch right here, the left handed shot
tucks it behind his back, no look, right into Zookin's one
timer and look at that, that is just unbelievable skill. A
beautiful five on five goal.
Pasternak, Ovechkin, Tate Thompson, Jason Robertson, the
only guys to score more goals than Geeky after January 1st.
Backhand, they score! Sonny Milano in the slot.
Those type of hands you cannot teach. That is a goal scoring
goal by this kid, Milano. What a shot. I don't, the goalie
didn't know it was in, the fans didn't know it was in, and all
of a sudden it's under the bar, lodged under the water bottle.
That's why we didn't see the net bulge on this backhand shot.
Goes back out high for Toronto to Troy Terry. Terry, nice
little move to the middle, and a wrist shot and they score.
Utah Mammoth here, they want to protect the middle of the ice,
but they get shrunk a little bit too close to their net. I think
that one surprised Karel Vemelka, he thought that shot
might be elevated and it just stayed right along the ice and
fooled him.
You've been there, eh Frankie?
Yeah, put in my time in Wilkes-Barre.
Brunick out in front trying to get open, what a shot!
Quick pass into the bumper position makes this happen and
it's hard for Samuel Montembeau to track it, as Brunick does a
nice job selling the shot, and then it's off to the half wall
for a quick give and go.
Here's a left wing side for Marchman, he shoots, the shot
gets blocked by Perreck, good job.
Taking one for the team there as Marchman centers, here's
Stephens, a shot, he scores.
Mitchell Stephens turns, shoots, and puts the puck through
Dustin Wolfe, and the Kraken tie the game at one.
This set becomes a clearing, throwing, clearing attempt.
Now Fox bottled up, shorthanded opportunity and Acemont scores.
Stops here, right?
His feet basically stop, he gets stripped from the puck, and
Acemont is going to make him pay, right?
Boy, that is a nifty finish by a guy who comes billed as a pain
in the backside to play against.
Feet stop, everything else stopped.
Danielson puts it back over to the front of the goal, to
Finney, backhand pass and it's finished off.
Finney takes it, protects it, and he catches Renzel by surprise,
spinning backwards, using his back part of his body there to
protect it right here, and then just slides it right between
the legs.
Eberle's in the mess there in the corner, they tie it up,
Schwartz digs it out, a shot right on, great stop by Skinner.
Ben Myers with the opportunity, no, it got through Skinner.
Great work from the Kraken down along the boards, winning your
one-on-one battles you're pinned up against, but an excellent
backhand pass right out in front.
Myers, not checked, all alone.
Looks like Schwartz has eyes in the back of his head because it
doesn't turn around, no-look pass.
So the Islanders score two goals in a span of 23 seconds.
Rangers have come back and they'll take the lead as Perage
scores.
Quick to the puck, quick puck movement, get in the spot, what
a great play from behind.
Lava once again, this is just a wonderful play all the way
around.
It's a hockey play, Kenny.
Michelli trying to play it out, if Michelli goes to center,
it's McMahon.
He's got Lott with him, put back in front, Lott in the low,
oh, he has it, he got it.
Michelli gets bailed out there, but bank pass to McMahon,
McMahon kicks it over to Lott, he had a wide open by-pull, I
thought he missed it, but he managed to rattle it home.
You're Dobson, and you're going to run at McMahon, you need to
know that Lott's covered.
Now he's trying to chip that back in front for Lorenz, Lott
looks back in front, they score, it's Lorenz again.
That was on purpose.
Good job by Cao to keep it alive, and that is nice
habits by Lorenz.
Drives the back post, and Lorenz chops it home for his second.
Now runs the powerhouse London Knights program.
Hooked ahead by Dwerberk, he's knocked off stride, Dwerberk,
and shoots, scores!
Stick with it, I like the speed.
This loose puck gets outside the blue line with a good help
from Myers, and Davidson's got the angle, but not the legs,
no trip-tall there, stays with it, goes under the stick.
And the guy that's going to light up the scoreboard, pretty
solid defensively though, here's Raymond now moving in, short
side shot, rebound chance, scores!
Popped right out in front, bounced it off of Georgiev,
into the net.
This one, I believe Cobb, yeah, he gets a piece of it, knocks
it out of midair, and actually goes five-hole on Georgiev
there, but he's in front, he's in a good position.
Knights get another puck opportunity.
What a shift by Shane Theodore, started with a big defensive
play, and then it ends with Eichel finding him, all alone,
going to the backhand as he beats Vanecek.
Cates delivers that one to the midsection of Sandin.
Yeah, great job by Sandin, stepping up on their man coming
up the middle.
Miroshnichenko, a marvelous move to the goal, he scores!
Right-handed shot allows him to cut across the paint, no chance
for the goaltender, looked like Holzapf was going to be able to
kick out the left toe, but he got it around that leg.
So many back issues the last few years, really so painful for
him. Backhand, scores!
What a shot!
This is a perfect example of a player putting a puck where a
goaltender, for all purposes, isn't going to get it.
You go up top, over the catching glove, into that top corner.
Tang, a 30-point season last year, nice pass from Hayes,
springs across, he scores!
This is all it takes to play with a guy like Sid, pull a guy
to you, an ability to make that 10-foot play, and you will not
even be close to in the play with your hands in the air.
Nine, that opportunity, he was open, but the puck came late,
and then Breaux was able to use his reach to get in there, knock
that puck away.
Leonard, wheeling down the flank, snapshot, scores!
And that's a perfect example of his hands, that is a dynamite
play against Dillon, the defenseman who got turned around
because of the speed of Leonard.
And then the finish, that is a finish of a goal scorer right
there.
Now Bedard will bring it in.
As he carries for the circle, backhand pass across, right in
front, they score!
What a setup by Bedard!
Oh my, what a pass.
Bedard spinning around, it looked like Denny survived right
there.
Everyone thinking he's going to the point, I'm sure, instead he
goes against the green like you read about right here.
He's got his eyes up all the way, stops, turns on a dime and
puts it right across, right to Donato, and make no mistake.
This one turned over, Barzell will race to it, Duclaire
hanging out in front of the net, trying to get it there, and
it's saved, it's a starking attack!
You've got an opportunity when you're going in on a puck,
you're going to get hit probably.
He's on his backhand.
He doesn't dust it off, he doesn't stick handle, he finds
that little sliver of space that's right in between the
skate of the defenseman and their stick.
It's just outstanding.
Here's his impressive preseason.
The speed that Lava picked, coming up the ice, but if
there's an interchange, it's always going to be tough.
Two Islanders go to one, and watch the patience to go all the
way around.
Riddick didn't even need to elevate, I think the speed he
was coming in on cut the Islanders off guard.
That was held in.
Nakisha, nice move and a shot, and he scores!
And he made a nice play to keep this play alive in the
Panthers' zone, catching up to that puck, makes a little move
and then look, he finds some daylight, just enough to pull
the trigger.
He and Moore snaps it into the middle, Strome shuffles it up
right, way in the room for Hines, the defenseman leads the
rush, great pass, over at Medrano with the finish.
Take the take, passes the attack, Tyson Hines makes a
terrific play to spot Frank Petrano.
All the way out to center ice, the power plays over, Beargrin
out of the box, on the attack, on the defraud, they score!
He gets pressured here by two guys, Beargrin comes out of the
box, you can see one hand on his stick, then he gets underneath
him, that's a terrific play by Jonathan Beargrin.
And then every last second before, terrifying it, Beargrin
without the glove, he lost that, and now he's got the
presence of mind, has his head up and he pushes it over there
to Lucas Raymond.
He fights and he gets an assist, Labrise's in the fight.
Pull and drag move here from Fleming, they score!
He's scanning the zone to see what his options are, and fools
Malinski, and just walks in with a toe drag, but just a pretty
move by Fleming.
Demidov handles, just nine seconds to go on the five on
four, he'll go to change.
Here goes Gallagher, out in front for Dock, and he scores!
Kirby Dock chips home the feat from Gallagher, that'll make it
5-0 off of Dock's first of the preseason, and third point of
the night for Brendan Gallagher.
Just see Matt Warmer, whooped out.
Broberg walks it in on the wraparound, score!
Broberg's just gonna go, he sees space, he takes it, decides
to go for the wraparound, he's got that long stick, he uses
both hands close to the knob.
It's not as obvious who's going to be where, and that creates
opportunity.
Boldy's in the lawn, he scores!
Kaprizov does a great job on the wall here, he just, he just
shifts this one into space, knowing that Boldy's, he's
moving, smart play from Kaprizov, he sees Boldy, Boldy
what a nice pickup to be able to corral that, stay on sides,
possess the puck, and a little snap shot, he gets it right
under the glove of Halibut.
Last appeared in an NHL game two years ago, but in distress and
headed to training room, and they score, Colton!
Effort by Drury, looks like a one-handed pass between the
legs, and then he gets Colton flying in on the slot area.
Tristan Ross, able to get the first one, Sabres might have a
chance to get it back here, delay, penalty, scores!
There's Krebs, nice job just feeding him, there was the
penalty that was going to be called, but nice job by Norris,
maintaining composure, he will get back up to his feet and make
the play, goes to the backhand.
Buffalo from their own end, will get to center, out of the blue
line, Darlene all the way in to the net, scores!
Yeah, how many times have you seen this?
They're in a late game when they need the goal, Darlene takes
charge, and he's the best at getting it up the ice and
getting it into the zone, you got to get a little better than
that on a guy like Darlene, or he's going to make his way to
where he wants to go, and that's exactly what he was able to do,
beats the goaltender on the blocker side.
Leo Carlson, here's Seneca shoots, score!
Right off the face-off, first of all, the Sharks lost the draw,
and Beckett Seneca, giving us an example of why he was drafted
third overall.
By the net, it is Bennett, looking to center, James is
stealing a slew-footed by Gajevic, and a penalty coming
up, Geke in the meantime walks in front, score!
That's what I've been talking about, about Conor Geke, this
guy's a goal scorer, I mean, he's, he's got touch, and look
at the fire in his belly there, it is, it gets him.
Great move by Geke, the spin move, and then just flip it
right underneath the crossbar.
Points, off the ice with Bjork's strand, cut off by Kuligov,
wide open, here's Kutrop, back in front, they score!
Watch this again, Gensel has lots of time and room, but who
are they worried about?
Kutrop in the middle of the ice, so Kutrop does what he does,
takes both defenders with him, gives it back to Gensel, and
this is not an easy goal.
Last year, they were 20th on the kill, only four short in a
goal, didn't seem quite as aggressive, there's a tip in
front, and they score!
Zehander's able to make a play off the rush, Shabanov able to
get to the middle of the ice, Siplikov, with a nice little
area feed, and a beautiful redirect by Shabanov.
Here's Christian Dvorak trying to pull away with his
shorthanded bit, he's got the puck, in that goal, drops it
back, Zanheim scores!
Dvorak jumps the wall, able to intercept the puck, and you can
just about bet that Zanheim is screaming.
Schaefer able to maneuver it, and they do clear it ahead, and
they find Duclair, fill it up behind Duclair, pass to the
area, he got on him and he scores!
One play out, and Drysdale gets caught, and Michkov not able to
cover for him, and it leads to a quick, put that one five hole
past Harrison on the quick break, and the Islanders have
the lead here, late in the third.
Peronik, back to Garland, cutting in on goal, scores!
Garland is going to give it, get open, and go right down Broadway.
Hicker doesn't get that left pad out at all.
As Garland drops the shoulder, that short stick of his keeps it
in near the feet.
Taylor Hall trying to play it back out, they keep it in, Aho
puts it down in front, and a backhander and the score to tie
it up for Carolina.
Jonathan marches out, try throwing a little backhand pass,
breaking out of the zone, and Fred's missed it.
Hey, when I used to get penalties, I used to think about
what I would do if I got a breakaway coming out of the box.
Right back to the front, and they score!
Give credit to Gaudet, because he had to get that backhand all
the way around the outstretched right pad of Karel Vemelka, and
throw that puck into the back of the net, a beautiful move.
Here's Tanev on the other way, and he sticks it in, Brandon
Tanev, and he scores!
Brandon Tanev!
This is why they call him Turbo, because he can turn on the jets
in a heartbeat.
He flew right past Ferraro, and at top speed, forehand, backhand,
just enough elevation over the pad of Askarov, as he used that
right leg to clear that path towards the middle of the ice.
