So what's it like to live with corgis? Come with me and find out.
Living with corgis is an absolute dream for any dog lover. They're adorable and energetic
companions who are known for their playful personalities. They're really loyal and super
intelligent dogs. Corgis thrive on human interaction so they make fantastic family pets.
They're especially suitable for active people because they love outdoor adventures like swimming,
walking, hiking, camping. Honestly whatever you can find to do outside your corgi will want to
do it with you too. Ours love to swim, they love going hiking, they love camping up the back with us.
They just want to be with you all of the time.
Corgis have plenty of stamina to go all day. They love to be active thanks to their herding genes.
They're such curious and playful dogs that make any activity more exciting and always
put a big smile on my face. They're just such happy and expressive dogs. I've only got thongs
on so I wasn't planning on coming up the back but the girls would like to so I'll just be
place has turned into a bit of a jungle. I have to come up here with the slusher,
the tractor. I like to keep it somewhat in control just so that we can see snakes easily
this land that we can have daily adventures on and the corgis never get tired of it. No matter
how many times we come hiking up the back or around the property, there's always new smells
and sights and sounds for them to explore. Exploring like this really engages their senses.
They're using their keen sense of smell to discover which wildlife has been around.
Been way too hot the last couple of months for a fire though. Very hot and humid. Here's our camp.
We love it up the back here. Come on out the fire. Harriet, come on. Come on. They never go in of
course when it's hot and I wouldn't allow them to even get close enough to think about going in
but it hasn't been on for months. She's okay to have a little
sniff. You go down for another swim? Go for another swim. Ariel, go on this way darling. Come on.
It's summer here in Australia. It is very hot and humid at the moment so our dogs really enjoy
having a good cool off and a swim in the dams. They'll often just get in and sit in the water and
they just enjoy the lovely coolness of it. This shady dam is the ideal place for the corgis to
explore. It provides relief from the heat, keeping them comfortable while they have a roam around.
They discover all the sights and sounds and smells of nature and can also splash in the
shallows or have a nice swim. I also find it really peaceful to come and relax here while the
mental and social development. Through play puppies learn important life skills like bite
inhibition, coordination and problem solving. It helps them to burn off their energy. They develop
confidence in people and themselves. They learn boundaries and communication skills.
This really sets the foundation for a well-adjusted adult dog. Regular playtime also
stimulates their minds. It helps to prevent anxiety and it promotes a happy well-rounded
companion and that's what we all want in a mate.
The horse has just wounded up. Hi Crumpet. Hi Maisy. All the cute babies. Gizmo, Abu.
Hi Mochi. Miss Mochi. Crumpet. I thought you guys were going to sleep.
A little bit. There's Hazel. Let's be careful.
Hi Ariel. Hi gorgeous girl. That is Scarlet actually. Scarlet and Ariel, the twins.
That's Ariel over there. Corgis are triggered by movement and sound so when someone jumps in the
pool it's very exciting. They've got to have their run round and their bark and then they're
okay again. It's their fun.
