McCartney Kessler vs. Liudmila Samsonova ｜ 2025 Ningbo Round of 16 ｜ WTA Match Highlights).

That's a strong combination. That's an Erestroun opening game. But that's the way to play. That's superb. Winchy has been required to hit a couple of forehands. They're backing up. Picking up wins. Close the gap. It's an unbelievable volley. Starting to roll through the points. Found the line. And found another winner. That's special tennis. Taking the racket out of Kessler's hand. What a return. It's such a big moment to have the courage to go for that big return. An eventful opening set. She led 4-0. She led 5-1. She's come back as Kessler to take the tie-break. Fine effort from the American. Great point for Kessler. And Kessler breaks. Ball's in court. Still wary of what could happen. Might not have been one of the cleanest strikes. But it just dropped in. Didn't look like it was when it left the racket. Brilliant point. One of the best we've seen. What a win. For McCartney, Kessler. A fourth top 20 win. It has been a big season for her. She's reached her first WTA500 quarter-final. She absolutely deserved it. A really consistent couple of sets from Kessler. Can't say the same about Samsonova. 48 unforced errors from her. But Kessler, a straight sets win. 7-6, 6-1.
