Modern Coastal Hideaway for Surfers and Dreamers | Casa Macu

Casa Macu by architect Chris Luce is a collection of four concrete bungalows in La Saladita, Mexico, designed as flexible coastal retreats for surfers and travelers seeking rest and connection with nature. Each unit — Nami, Sich, Lua, and Ona — features distinct layouts that adapt to sunlight, privacy, and existing trees, creating a sheltered, tropical courtyard at the center. The project emphasizes sustainable living through passive cooling strategies, solar energy, and water recycling systems, offering a harmonious blend of privacy, community, and eco-conscious design on Mexico’s Pacific coast.
