Repentance Brings Refreshing _ Revival Pastor Christine Miller

Times of refreshing come from the presence of the Lord. However, if you want to be refreshed, you must first repent (Acts 3:19). Repentance isn’t just turning away from wrong actions. It can also be tweaking those little thoughts and feelings that say, “I’d rather not ________ (fill in the blank) that the Lord is dealing with me about.”

These thoughts can even come while we’re in church. We can resist the flow of God and what He’s wanting to do by failing to respond and participate in the service. Human flesh always wants its own way and doesn’t always “feel” like responding. If we don’t tell our flesh to cooperate and yield to the spirit of God, we can dismiss these times of spiritual refreshing.

Don’t be too dignified to surrender to God. We must be fully immersed in what God wants to do. He needs our cooperation. So throw aside your fleshly reservations and jump in with both feet! Now is the time to be refreshed!
