ALASKA - Grizzly Bears and Beaches

Welcome back to Alaska. We got a big day today, huh? Yeah, we do. What are we doing? We're gonna go, I shoved bacon in my pocket, and we're gonna go find some grizzlies. We're gonna go see the grizzly bears. We got a good group today. I think there's gonna be seven planes in total. We got us three being Aaron, Steve, I. Steve and I have our ladies, and then Arish just showed up. Nice. And then we'll have Keith, Ron, Darren. That's it. Yeah. So, getting locked and loaded. Let's go see some grizzly bears. What's up, dude? How's it going? You ready for another adventure? More flying? Let's make it happen. You got your eagle eyes on? I got my eagle eyes. That took you long. Moose left. That was quick. Another moose left. Ooh, this one doesn't have any antlers. I don't think you need them. Oh, it's a laying out. It's even on, you're gonna fall off. Pasture. Aaron, this is Will. You gotta stop your left, Steve. Bald eagle at the top of this tree on our left. He'll drop down, I guess. Bald eagle on the top of the tree on the left. I like how you're telling everyone that. Oh, yeah. Sasquatch on the right. Trent's gonna come right. I think we'll go and link back up with everyone else. There's two more right off my nose right now. Or right off my right wing. We're getting into that country where you're like, engine, please don't quit. There's a lot of things that can chew on me. And I'm not the top of the food chain here. Yeah, God no. I would just sit in the plane until someone came and got me. Yeah, I don't think the fabric on the plane is gonna do much. Oh, shut up. You don't have a gun? I don't have a gun. But someone does. They throw it down to us. Oh. Oh, she just sat up. Isn't that cool? Yeah. There might be- We've got a South Cub just passed by the runway. Another one up on the runway? No, it doesn't. No? See it? There's a big airstrip coming up right here. I mean, I haven't heard anybody for a few days. Oh, he's on a cutie pie. Oh, he's like, oh, those big buoys. Oh, what a big boy. This is beautiful. It really is, huh? Yeah. Is it rough down there, Aris? You look like you're bouncing around. Oh, it's my fault. Smooth can get. This might be my first time landing on an ocean beach. Oh, really? Maybe. Oh, cool. Yeah, very cool. Yeah, it's a nice spot. We used to come down here with about eight plans and we'd line up and just all camp for the night. That's cool. There's the bear clam and the low tides. Yeah. Fish and there's some really good silver fish back here. In that creek? Awesome. You know, and I was like, oh, come on. How many bears? How many bears did we see? There's a bear. The limit does not exist. Yeah, there's the bear right there. Haley, I think this is my first actual beach landing. I've never landed on a beach like this. It's kind of cool. Really? I was wondering, it was kind of surreal when we were, you look out one side of the window, it's the ocean, and then the left side's the beach. It's awesome. What are you guys doing? This is the fastest 10-wheeled convertible I've ever had. Now, what's the plan? Just leave it there now? Your hat there. Yeah. Hi. And then it hits the rear bumper. There's one over on the far side there. What do you think, babe? You ready to go? Yeah. You're already loaded up. She's like, I'm cold. No, it's just cold. I'm hanging. It's beautiful. Oh, man. No respect. I like to stay up this high just till we cross the water. Okay. And then we can go down low. Perfect. If you'd prefer. I would say si, senor. Okay, it will probably be rougher just because we'll get the mechanical turbulence off the bluffs on the shoreline. Oh, okay. Well, let's just play it out and see. Into Lawrence Airfield. Please keep your seatbelt on. Large portable devices stowed over. All right, that was a successful day. We saw a lot of wildlife. Tons of wildlife. Lots of moose. Lots of bears. I would say lots of bears. How many bears? Like, north of 50. We saw a ton of bears. It was incredible. So, super cool. Thanks for tagging along, babe. That was a longer flight. I mean, we were over two hours each direction. So, you did good. Yeah, it was worth it though. And we did get into some rough air. Yeah, but. Yeah, a little bit. Alaskan flying is mostly just the shifts in weather. That's what I've seen. But we've also been like, probably the most fortunate people in the world because the weather's been perfect. Yeah, and it was spring, so lots of cubs. Yes. Cub season. Yes. Lots of mamas, lots of babies. Yeah, it was cool. We'd be flying by and like, one of the mama bears would just stand up and like, look around. Of course, swoop up her cubs. Yeah, that was pretty cool. Anyway, I think we're gonna go back and get ourselves some food. We haven't eaten, really, since breakfast. So, we're gonna do that. And so, I'm probably gonna wrap this up.
