Galley Tour - a look in the Cruise Ship kitchen

if you've ever wondered how this wonderful food is produced how its planned come with us as we step behind the revolving doors on the Queen Victoria and go into the galley every meal you see has been planned two months before it's put on a plate and the ordering and planning is done by looking back possibly to exactly a year ago when the ship was on the same route passing the same way and needing to go to the same suppliers the ship uses suppliers all over the world that have been approved first by their local authorities and secondly by the Kunar group making water on board is a complete science which we go into on another fill but making water from seawater is probably a lot more healthy than recycled water from land that's been through at least six or seven maybe more human beings just inside the door to the right huge toasters coffee makers to the left water and ice makers and behind that that dishwasher now that is a huge dishwasher the veranda galley this particular galley has nine separate outwards feeding food to other galleys so it has the gross galley the Lido Buffy galley the Lido grill galley the Golden Lion pub galley on deck 2 it sends food to the Britannia deck three galley the Britannia deck two galley it feeds the bakery butchery fruit and vegetable prep and it also has the veranda galley and the crew galley all fed from this particular gal pictures so they know how to serve the food exactly I'm a very pudding different so you have to smile that's part of the job yeah yeah how many hours do you work we are contacted for 10 hours a day right it's like a research initiative and up west every time yeah yeah this you know but this is not less than 6 hours less on the bridge because we are working to ship see ya so this there is a six hour shift right hard work yeah yeah we love it yeah [Music] [Music] you
