Lin Zhu vs. Maya Joint ｜ 2025 Wuhan Round 1 ｜ WTA Match Highlights).

So good. She's the beneficiary of the three unforced errors in this game by joint. Break point. Had enough speed on that ball into the forehand of Joynton. That's terrific play. Using that forehand, opening up the court. And set point number two gets it done. Joynt's big backhand finds its way into the corner. And results in the final three games going the 19-year-old's way. And she does have the opening set as she begins her campaign. Her debut at the Dongfeng Oya Wuhan Open. She's been so successful whenever she's been able to pepper that baseline with her ground strokes. Producing some quality tennis. Just has to find the consistency for a woman who's been broken four times today. She's hit 26 winners to go with the 27 unforced errors. She's got a plan of attack. And has stuck to it. Back-to-back winners from Joynt. It's been a unique path for Xu Lin today. Her 12th service game, she's been broken five times. Maya Joynt's fourth overall. Swap ends for a third time and Joynt back to work. Well it wasn't easy to pick up her 30th win of the year. And it might be a match to look on as this tournament progresses as a good test early that she survives. As Maya Joynt finds her way to a straight sets win. 7-5, 7-6. Some days you're not playing your best tennis, but you gotta give credit to the 19-year-old that she continued to just fight through. She was determined to win this match on her terms. And in the end she accomplished it.
