There is not as much to do in Freeport as many other places in the Bahamas. Another port there would be a better option, but if in Freeport here is what you might do and some very useful tips.

what a beautiful sky it's a good morning
from the Bahamas stewartson Paul here
your usual presenter Jean flies in today
with a host of other entertainers this
is a poor look at the ship there that's
in for refurbishment we'll see that in
more detail in a moment we're going into
Freeport the Norwegian sky is beating us
in so we have enough time for breakfast
on day here's a ship that's actually
being refurbished here because as I said
it is a port a working port so as we
step over the ship the carpark is where
you will find the exit in taxis and the
buses to take you either to the beach or
to the town in inverted commas it really
is just a shopping center but from the
town you can go to a beach some people
never venture beyond the quite lively
bars on the port the music in the
background is from a film I made the
Universal Pictures it's the film
starring status quo as called polar
cover the shot in Fiji
so he's a taxi bus and that's the queue
to the beach and on the other side
here's the queue to town so the taxis
drop you off here and they give you a
return ticket whether you want one or
not
six dollars each way is $12 per person
there is music everywhere as you would
expect from the county so you're dropped
off at this main shopping area but it
doesn't get busy and lively until the
afternoon so maybe it's a good idea to
do these short walk to the beach spend
the morning on the beach then come back
to see this particular area when it does
get lively and then you are near the
coach to return to the ship or take you
to the beach in a moment but if you're
not a beach person let's walk through to
the port where you'll find fishy
glass-bottom boat are actually just a
nice walk there's also a dolphin
experience

okay for you beach lovers less talking
about the beaches you can actually get a
ferry here to Venice Beach or you can
simply walk to one which we suggest you
do first thing so the important thing to
look for here is the police station okay
let's get this right just in case you're
the first person off to the beach in the
morning and everybody's decided to
follow you you can do this in confidence
because if you stand at the shopping
center with the shopping center behind
you the road in front of you you need to
turn right within a hundred yards you'll
see the police station there is a metal
fence in front of you literally turn
left it looks nothing but there's a an
alleyway you certainly wouldn't want to
walk down at night but that alleyway is
the way to the beach it's about 15 yards
long
the beach is then evident just as you
come out of this little alleyway by
lunchtime they will be barbecuing fish
and there we guys walking around selling
cold beers there are facilities on the
beach and this tends to be a walking
picture some people walking up and down
and they'll walk back to the shopping
center and get the bus back to the port
don't forget we have lots of films on
doris visit sport guides for just about
everywhere you might want to visit and
please take a look at my crime novels is
not little crimes they're big crimes
that happen on ships and you wouldn't
even know they're happening
