That's so this is Alan from the Alan
Alpha Sports Talk show. I'm joined here
with the author Rick Vaughn and you just
had this big book signing event with Joe
Madden. Talk about the event. Yeah, it
was great. Anytime I can get together
with Joe. It's a really cool time and
you can see how well he was received by
everybody and turnout was tremendous.
There was a lot of people. They're all
baseball people and they wanted to talk
baseball and they were interested in
what Joe had to say and even interested
in some of the stuff I wrote. So, it was
a good it was a good night. Yes. An even
better night for a little birdie told me
that you're going to get the Eore City
Museum Award. Oh, wow. Yeah, that's
unbelievable. The Lou Panella Legacy
Award. I mean, you know, I work with
Lou. I I love Lou. You know, I love his
passion for life. I love his passion for
the game. And to have something that has
his name attached to it feels it's a
wonderful feeling, but it's also like
pretty overwhelming for me because I,
you know, I really have so much respect
for him.
Yes. And you have a lot of respect for
Joe. Tell couple remarks about Joe
Madden. Yeah. Joe, um, you know, I was
fortunate enough to work with him for
nine years, you know, and pretty closely
for 9 years. And, you know, at some
point I sort of realized that we had a
lot of players come and go, but Joe
wasn't going anywhere. And Joe was kind
of like, you know, to me, you know, he
was the face of the club. So, I spent an
awful lot of time working with him
knowing that he was he wasn't going
anywhere. And so I I I he was a guy that
we wanted out as the persona of the team
and I think it it served us well during
that time. So you know having that
experience with Joe has made him a long
lifelong friend and I like I said I
always like being around him. You know
he's affected my life many ways all
positive and u I feel like I was really
blessed to be able to work with him.
That's awesome and we're blessed that
you're such a great supporter of Tampa
Baseball Museum. Keep up the great work.
Thank you very much. It was good to see
you, Alan. Thank you for your support.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
