thank for posting without the obnoxious music in the background g
But do you remember that, do you remember that Tevez going away?
Yeah, what was it, what actually, what happened there?
Do you remember we was away against Bayern Munich in the Champions League
and Tevez was on the bench in that game and Mancini told him to go warm up
and Tevez had been warming up like multiple times and then Tevez sat down like
I'm ready to go on if needed and Mancini told him to go warm up again
and he's like, I'm, I'm warm.
So, so it's like, Tevez is like, seriously, I'm fine to go on.
Then Mancini, he was so hot-headed.
He was just like, and I was, I was right back.
So I heard absolutely everything.
He's like, destiny cancel, you will never play with me again
and went to the changing room afterwards.
And honestly, it was like a Royal Rumble fight where like,
Mancini's trying to get to Tevez.
Tevez is saying effort, like, and then you've got,
you've got Kompany trying to calm everyone down.
And then like, you see who's really your friend when someone like that goes on.
Who's side were you on, Big Leaks?
You know what, I was on the side of Mancini because I wanted to play together.
Some teammate you were, yeah.
How embarrassing is that?
Creeping around the manager.
Oh, I'm on your side, boss.
The only problem I had, the only problem I had with Tevez, to be fair,
I mean, let's be clear here.
Tevez for a year with Ronaldo and Rooney was just breathtaking.
It was out of this world.
It really was.
Not just because of the actual quality of the players,
but there was a real selfish, horrible, nasty determination to those three.
Ronaldo in a different way on the pitch,
in the sense that he wouldn't sort of go around kicking people,
hassling people, harassing people, hustling.
He was sort of immense in terms of his performance levels.
But Rooney and Tevez, they were street fighters,
but with unbelievable ability.
And there was something of that three that just to me feels like,
you talk about the best three in the Premier League,
best three, best front three in the Premier League or best three players.
You'll never beat those three for me.
You can talk about Mane, Salah and Firmino.
I love them to bits and Sterling and Aguero and Sané at Liverpool.
City, sorry.
But you look at that front three of Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo in their peak,
was out of this world.
What annoyed me about Tevez was he downed tools in his second season,
started sitting on the treatment bed, started coming out late for training,
started messing around.
He was playing the club and I couldn't stand that,
particularly as I was at the time,
which was a ferocious Manchester United person on the inside.
Never thought of anything else in my life, only United every single day.
And the idea that someone would sort of come into that changing room
and sort of not just be at the best.
I understood that he had circumstances,
but his people were in his ear all the time.
He was so led by his people and that it was always going to come to an end
like it did.
And I felt disappointed that as a professional,
that he didn't act the right way.
I never had a problem with players leaving the club if they were sort of,
David Beckham left the club or Cristiano Ronaldo left the club.
Ruud van Nistelrooy left the club.
Great, great players, but there was a way to leave the club
and there was a way to behave when you were there.
So the problem I have with Tevez wasn't that he went to play for Manchester City,
which in itself is a problem for me.
That wasn't the main issue.
It was the way in which I think it just played out in that last few months.
I didn't like it.
Was there anything better than playing with Tevez, Rooney and Cristiano?
I think Rio, after a week, can say something about that.
It was just like, when you got just, I remember,
Tevez and Rooney in front for us defenders.
I think those games you don't even have to defend.
Like the ball will come and run because they already do the press.
They're going to make sure the centre-back is going to never give a good pass.
And you know Ferguson sometimes, he was really, really arrogant.
You know what he was doing?
So we were winning, for example, 3-0.
He would rest like Cristiano and Tevez,
and suddenly he would bring on Cristiano and Tevez.
And I speak with him about that.
He was like, I just want to make sure to show the enemies,
all the other teams, how big we are.
Who is the worst player in training?
Tevez.
Exactly.
When Tevez, I swear, he don't even do his list.
He didn't care.
He's like that, he's sleeping.
So sometimes I was like, you know some players,
they say you play on the Sunday the way you train.
But for those kind of players, like Tevez,
and I heard also Hazard, you don't need them to train.
But Tevez, you know at home, he was always training on his own.
Yeah, yeah.
It's like people, they don't like to train with the team,
and I don't understand that.
But at home they're doing the rest.
But trust me, when the game was on,
he was running for everyone on the pitch.
He's a pitbull.
La Pache.
Wow.
Madman.
Has he finished?
I think he's retired now.
How did, because I've always said this, yeah?
Three guys.
One French, one Argentinian, and one Korean.
South Korean.
How the hell did you even understand each other?
They were the best friends.
Everywhere they went, yeah, one of them.
The other two will be coming.
She'll be after.
And even Ferguson couldn't understand.
Can you speak Korean?
No, I know a few languages.
But G speaks good English.
G is shy.
He's a liar.
G speaks good English.
I was translating every time the Spanish of Carlito to G.
But it's just like we had so much fun.
And we are bound.
And we still like talking to each other.
And the manager used to call us the ugly.
Which one is the, what do you call it in French?
Le bon, le brut, le trou.
You know the Western?
No, no, no.
The good, the bad, and the ugly.
So who's you?
G was the good.
You was the bad.
I was the bad.
Someone was the ugly.
But it wasn't me.
I love you, bro.
I love you.
How's Tevez?
Oh, Tevez.
Don't talk about him.
He's a bastard.
I love him.
He's my brother.
So I remember because before I signed and I speak with Carlito.
He said, come.
It's amazing here.
You will see.
You will love it.
Then I remember I was in Los Angeles.
He said, but Patrice, are you training?
I said, yeah, you know.
When I'm on holiday, I'm always training.
And first of all, I arrived the first day.
I arrived in the dressing room and I see everyone had their suitcase and everything.
And I said, but guys, we're going to the preseason in two weeks.
So why people have their suitcase?
Then Tevez said, but Patrice, after training, we go to the hotel.
Like you stay two weeks in the hotel.
Like you live in Turin.
You don't go home before the preseason.
You stay in the hotel.
Before the game, you stay even three days in the hotel.
So Carlito, I said, Carlito, why you didn't tell me that before?
He said, because I wanted someone to die with me.
You set out for that next season, but it was quite an interesting season.
We had the arrival of Tevez and Mascherano.
We had new Icelandic owners.
It was a season of change and drama.
It kept me going, to be honest.
In the physio room, there was so much going on.
I mean, Tevez and Mascherano were, I found them hilarious because
obviously they didn't really speak English.
They were both out of shape because they'd not done anything, I don't think.
And I remember some of the lads coming in saying, useless.
Especially that Mascherano.
I watched a few of the training sessions.
He kept pinging it out of play.
He wasn't getting around the pitch as much.
And Tevez was showing a few signs of what a player he could be.
But I remember I reminded a few of the players of what they'd said
in those first few days when they'd come back into the physio room
and hammered them.
And then actually they went on to be two incredible players.
