On August 8, 2025, Early Music Vancouver presented Mozart’s Requiem at the Chan Centre, performed by the Pacific Baroque Orchestra and the Vancouver Cantata Singers, directed by Alexander Weimann.

✨ Featuring soloists Magali Simard-Galdès (soprano), Emma Parkinson (alto), Jacob Perry (tenor), and Drew Santini (baritone).

Shrouded in mystery since Mozart’s death in 1791, the Requiem continues to inspire with its profound beauty, transforming grief into radiant transcendence. This performance presents a modern completion from 2024 by English conductor and composer Howard Arman, a fruitful approach that leads to new listening experiences in this timeless work.
