Boston's overseas Chinese community held a grand parade on October 4 to celebrate the 114th "Double Tenth National Day" of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The procession started from the "Heaven and Earth for the Public, Ritual, Integrity, and Shame" arch in Chinatown, proceeding along Washington Street in the city center to the City Hall Plaza, where they sang the national anthem and raised the blue sky with a white sun and red earth flag. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, City Council President Ruthzee Louijeune, and other local officials also joined the parade. That evening, the overseas Chinese community also held a National Day banquet at the Emperor Garden Restaurant in Chinatown.
