Best Shots of Day 3 | 2025 Ryder Cup

Yeah, you can barely feel your hands. Perfect touch, perfect lead on the first hole. Oh yeah, they did it! Right in the middle. Man, he's been in such under control all week, man. He looks like the moment is just not too big for this guy. Stage in golf is too big for Cameron Young on this occasion. What a start for America. We couldn't ask for anything better. Just off the fairway. Oh, there it is! Our first deuce from the fairway. Guys have been hitting the flag, they've been hitting the pin. Finally it happens. It was inevitable. This level of golf. He's like, see, I won a hole. It's not that hard. All you have to do is make an eagle. Let's go back to one. In the meantime, Ben Griffin is taking on Rasmus Heugon in our rookie showdown in match nine. And you know, I don't think that Ben Griffin, you know, obviously he's had a phenomenal summer. Left to right at the third, a slow putt. You definitely don't want to have to come back or down the hill. No comeback from there. If you see the hole, you can tell it was going in. You know what I mean? Something you just know. Russell Henley. Henley likes to play a draw, not a good hole location for Russell. This looks so good in the air. Oh, what a shot there by Russell Henley. Off it goes for Justin Rose. Nine iron we hit here at the ninth. One down in this match to Cam Young, but maybe not for long. Three. Griffin. Very high. A lot of club head speed. Scorable itself with Patrick Cantlie, who's one down. Nice flat line, kind of in the swale there. Good angle. Should spin a bit. Here it is. Followed to go back. A little higher shot to a Cantlie plate. And what response is? Good, good. Let's go to seven. Yep. And that's the right thing to do there. Right hole location for a left to right player. This is a green light special right here. No wind to speak of. A right. Down the hill. The green open having missed. Yes, that was right at it. Strong as a rock once more, Cantlie. Up to 11 down the left side ball. Looks to be sitting up for Tommy Fleetwood. Justin Thomas, beg your pardon. Fleetwood on the green, 30 feet away. Three feet away for Justin Thomas. From Beth Page Black, 2-12. Justin Thomas down the left. 30 feet away already on the green. Anytime you hit the green at 12, you've done well. Justin Thomas hits a laser in there. Beautiful shot, puts it up on that top shelf. It's tracking. It's tracking, dead sensor. Big moment for Rory. Maybe there's just enough. Once more with this moment of brilliance from McIlroy. No energy for a real fist pump. Up and over. That's a golf shot. You're telling me it's a golf shot. That's a shot of the day, no question. Back pin to the wedge. Got to watch the spin. Oh, wow. Perfect. What a great shot that is to win the hole. Drive. Griffin. Across the 10th. Finds one. No mistake there. Facts. It'll get the biggest roar. Two down with four to play. Marching forward. Back at the 12th. JJ Spohn's second. Staring it down. With good reason. What a shot. Delicious. What a shot by Justin Rose. Brought it in, withdrawn to the left-hand pin. Just off the back edge. Boys are coming. Golf shot. We know how swift this one is down the slope at 15. This for Birdie. A little bit like yesterday. The sudden release of all that emotion. Ben Griffin and Erasmus Hojgar. This is Griffin. Birdie. After a brutal miss on the last. He wants to make up for it and he does. The bomb there. What a putt. 15. Two down against Russell Henley. Big shot right there. Three down against the U.S. Open champion. Last chance Saloon. Finds a pearler. Beautiful looking shot here. On 16, the pin right there. Oh, Shane Lowry. What a response. Another shot. Maybe the best shot of his life. With response. What composure from Shane. 19 Open champion. Stands tall. And delivers for the European team. Who have retained the Ryder Cup. Wonderful stuff from Lowry. Doesn't know what to do with himself. Almost does he? It's the purest of celebrations. Isn't it? Nothing stage managed. Oh, good wedge shot. And it's yours, sir. Thank you.
