A Winter Vintage Clothing Haul - 1930s and 1940s!

Hi, welcome back to my channel and to another video. And it's been a minute. I haven't published anything in such a long time. It seems to me that maybe three weeks have passed since the last post. I published something at the beginning of January, but I filmed it between Christmas and New Year's Eve. So, it seems that a lot of time has really passed. And I just wanted to take some time to reconnect and try to balance the direction I want this channel to take. So, I'm still working on the details. So, I won't go into too much detail, but I'm always struggling to publish anything. Only content for you guys. Anything that comes to mind or make more stylized videos and have a broader concept that takes a little more time. So, I don't know, I'm trying to understand it. I haven't found the right balance yet, but I missed you so much. And I also started to feel a little guilty for not having published anything in January. So, I thought I'd put this little bottle together for you guys. Ok. So, I was going to do a No Bye in January. And these are mainly pieces that I bought last year. We had a big shopping spree of Canadian posts, so all my packages were super delayed. So, I actually bought a lot of these pieces a long time ago, but I just piled them up and put them together in this video for you guys. I really didn't keep up with my No Bye in January. I bought a lot of pieces that are more for spring, so I won't show them in this video. Not that it really matters. It's all vintage, so you can't buy it anyway. So, it's not that it really matters. Um, but I'm starting a No Bye in February. I'll cut myself completely out until the Toronto Vintage Clothing Show. So, yes, ok, sorry. Let's go straight to the point. I'll start with the clothes because I have clothes. And then I also have winter accessories, shoes and jewelry, that kind of thing. So, let's go straight to the point. The first thing I have is this splendid coat from the early 40s. And honestly, I can't tell if it's a very dark or black blue-navy, because the lining seems a bit blue to me, but it's just stunning. And really, I don't know how one of you guys didn't get it from eBay because it was there for a long time. And in the end I took the big step because I thought it would have been a bit too big for me. But honestly, it fits me perfectly. Um, and I think it's so stunning. It has these really big buttons here in front, and then the sleeves have these stripes. I don't know if the camera ... here it is. It's a bit swollen, but just to show you guys. It has all these little stripes everywhere. It's stunning. I wore it for a Remembrance Day ceremony. I think I even wore it with this dress underneath, and it's just perfect. It's like the perfect coat for spring and autumn. If you follow me on Instagram, you've already seen this coat. This is the last thing I bought, like the last piece of clothing I bought. And oh my god. It's everything. Like, is it a bit too big? Is it a bit dramatic? Yes. Is it fabulous? Also. Yes. I mean, oh my god. Look at the shade it creates. I'm obsessed with it. Um, I actually had my eyes on it a year ago and no one bought it. And then when I went back to the store, they had changed all their stuff for winter. Obviously. Um, and it was still there on the showcase and on the mannequin. So, in the end I bought it. Obviously. I think it would be better if I wore something with more layers underneath because it's a bit big. But um, I like it. I think it's so beautiful. Let me try it with sunglasses. I also bought these from Etsy. I don't know if I've ever shown them to you. I had them in other colors. But oh my god. My shopping is out of control. Ok. Let me try it with sunglasses. Oh my god. Like. Don't talk to me. Do you understand what I mean? Like. It's simply fantastic. This is a look. I'm going. Then I took this little set in two pieces from the 30s. Um. You can see the bottom of the skirt there. So. This is what the skirt looks like. It has this kind of V shape that goes like an inverted V shape that goes in front of here. It's really, really cute. It looks like this. And then it's accompanied by a little jacket. This also has a small vintage label. So. I'll do a little foreground so you can see it. And then it has this kind of really beautiful fiber on the front. It's really, really beautiful. Here's what it looks like on the front. You can see it there. It's so beautiful and in perfect condition. And here's what it looks like. I know there's going to be some color. This is the last dark piece. I promise. Um. But anyway. Yes. It's really, really cute. For my first colored piece, I have this type of complete green bottle in two pieces from the late 40s, early 50s. This is from Ian German Vintage and it's beautiful. I love this color. It seems to me that I don't have anything of this color. And the green will be something that you will see me wear a lot this year. I don't know why. I was really attracted to the green color. Um. But anyway. Here's what this piece looks like. It has a small matching jacket. It's really, really beautiful. Again. Perfect for everyday use. I think it's something I could always wear. To do errands or just walk. And it can be really nice and tidy. But also very comfortable. But this is the look of the complete. I think it's beautiful. I love it so much. This is the look of the back. I love this type of high neck with this shape. I like it a lot. I think you look so tidy. So, this is a little top from House of Foxy. So, you can actually buy this. Which is really exciting for me because I feel like I can never show you anything you can actually buy. So, I'll link them in the description box. Um. But in the end I took it in two colors. So, I took this yellow color. And then I also took this anatra egg color that I will wear in a second. Um. And it looks a little flimsy. Because I literally took it yesterday and I haven't ironed it yet. Um. But this is what it looks like. This is out of the skirt. I would probably put it in my skirt. I just wanted to show you what it actually looks like. Um. So it has these little buttons that go along the front. The sleeves have a little, the shape of a balloon sleeve. And it's really cute and structured here on the shoulders. And I think it's so beautiful. And honestly I have nothing of this color. Like when have you ever seen me wear yellow in general? It seems to me that I never wear yellow. Um. But I thought this was really cute. It will be great to wear in spring. Um. There is another one that I took. Is it the pistachio color? It's like a different kind of green. Again. With the green. I don't know why. I like it a lot. Um. But this is yellow. And I just thought it was really cute. I don't know. I really like the color. It makes me feel very happy when I wear it. Here's what the other color looks like. This is an anatra egg color and it's wonderful. Honestly. I don't know which one I like the most. It seems to me that yellow is so cheerful. But then this is so cheesy. So. I don't know. I love both colors. They also sell these shirts inspired by the 30s. I think they are called Bonnie shirts. And they are also available in this color. So. I might be tempted to buy one of these colors for spring. But it's so cute. I like its structure. I don't think I've ever been very interested in shoulder pads before. I've talked about it on my channel so many times. But it seems to me that in this case. This shirt style is simply perfect with the shoulder pads. And it really helps to create that really authentic 40s look. So. I'm obsessed with it. Great fan. I'll definitely buy that pistachio color when it's available again. Because it's been out of stock for a while. Yes. I left the best clothing head last because. Oh my God. This dress is a dream. Honestly. It could be my favorite vintage purchase ever. It was really cheap. I bought it on eBay and. Oh my God. It's in perfect condition. It's from the 30s. Look at this detail here on the neck. I'm crying. Honestly. When I saw the photos on eBay. I thought. Oh, it's so cute. And then when I took it and tried it. I was stunned. This is what I imagine when I see photos from the 30s. Like. This is the kind of head I dream of finding. Because it seems to me that I have seen pieces like this in old photographs. And I'm just obsessed with it. I think this is honestly the most beautiful head I have. And the colors are so stunning. It has all these little vola here on the side. This makes me feel so nice. Like. It's so feminine. It's like I'm wearing a dress. You know what I mean? Like. I can't even explain it. I've never felt like this myself. Never in my life like when I wear this dress. Okay. Now let's move on to the accessories. I don't have many. Actually. It's a lie. I'm looking at it right now. I don't know why I just said I don't have many when I literally have a pile right in front of me. I don't know what I'm saying. Okay. Let's start with two of my favorite things I bought. I bought them both on eBay. I think. At different times. Em. And I got these San Valentino pins. And you guys know that San Valentino is my favorite party ever. Potrei davvero morire. Sono così carine. Em. Questo è rosso e c'è scritto. Bemai Valentine. E poi ha questa specie di plastica quasi come pizzo. È così carino. Farò un primo piano così potete vederlo. Em. E poi l'altro sembra così. Di nuovo. C'è scritto. Bemai Valentine. Sembra quasi che sia lo stesso font e tutto il resto. E questo sembra così. E questo in realtà si apre e rivela una piccola foto. Quindi, ho cercato di passare in rassegna un sacco di miei accessori invernali perché ne avevo così tanti come le mie vecchie sciarpe che non indossavo più. Tipo. Sto parlando di vecchie sciarpe come quando ero molto preppy. Tipo Blair Waldorf ispirata prima della pandemia. È passato molto tempo. Se sei sul mio canale da molto tempo, sai di cosa sto parlando. È passato molto tempo. Em. Quindi volevo tipo prendere altri accessori vintage. Non mi sembra di non aver comprato molti accessori invernali come sciarpe e cose più vintage. Quindi, il primo che ho preso l'ho effettivamente comprato questo fine settimana. Quindi, questo è quello che ho detto. Non farò un acquisto non a gennaio. Em. L'ho comprato questo fine settimana ed è una sciarpa color crema. Questa è l'etichetta originale vintage. Em. E sembra così. È color crema e poi ha questo tipo di piccolo dettaglio azzurro qui in basso. Non so se la telecamera lo sta riprendendo o se lo sta spegnendo perché la luce è così forte. Em. Ma sembra così. È davvero molto carino. Adoro questo e adoro che sia color crema perché penso che si abbini praticamente a tutto. Anche se ha quella piccola linea azzurra in basso, penso che sia solo un bel dettaglio. L'ho preso allo shirt. Jacob's Antique Mall. E poi ho anche preso questa sciarpa. Che è così carina. Adoro questo tipo di materiale. Si vede che è un po' trasparente. Non so se la luce è un po' troppo forte. Ma ha una specie di trasparenza dovuta alla lana. Ma penso che sia così bello. Adoro anche questo colore. Penso che sia sicuramente nella tavolozza dei colori che mi piace molto. Come questi colori tenui. Em. E non lo so. Penso che si abbinerà a molti dei miei pezzi. Poi. Oh. Ho un'altra sciarpa. Ok. Questa sarà un po' controversa perché penso che non piacerà a tutti. Ho la sensazione che forse solo a poche persone selezionate piacerà davvero. Ma questa è una piccola sciarpa degli anni 30 e sembra così. Quindi. È di velluto. Em. E poi ha tutte queste piccole code di visone in basso. E in realtà sta davvero bene. Vediamo se riesco a indossarla senza scompigliarmi i capelli. Em. Sembra così. E poi fai così. E poi quando la apri. È così. Ho la sensazione che non si vedrà molto bene in macchina fotografica perché è di velluto e ho la sensazione che il velluto non venga mai fotografato molto bene. Ma penso solo che sia davvero bello. È davvero interessante. Non ho mai visto niente del genere prima. L'ho preso su eBay. Ero l'unica persona che ci ha messo un pezzettino ed era tipo 20 dollari o qualcosa del genere. Non lo so. Era davvero poco costoso. Ha anche un'etichetta vintage. Ne farò un primo piano così potete vedere perché ho la sensazione che se lo tengo in mano non riuscirete a vedere l'etichetta vintage. Ma ha la sua piccola etichetta. Adoro i pezzi che hanno effettivamente un'etichetta vintage. Ok. E poi ho anche preso questo da Etsy. In realtà non è vintage. Questo è di Miss PC Peci su Etsy. Vi linkerò il suo negozio qui sotto così potrete vederlo. Ma lei realizza tutti questi pezzi ispirati al vintage. E so di avere un sacco di commenti su queste piccole fasce per capelli a popcorn che ho indossato in passato ed è da lì che le ho prese. Sono così carine e molto simili agli anni 40 perché si basa su queste foto degli anni 40. Ehm. Quindi sembra così. Ne ho preso uno blu nevi. Ne ho uno rosso e panna. Ma questo blu nevi penso che andrà bene praticamente con tutto. E poi lo indossi semplicemente sulla testa in questo modo, e poi lo leghi sotto il mento. È davvero carino e penso che sia davvero fantastico perché non ti scompiglia i capelli o altro e ti tiene al caldo e sembra davvero quindi. E poi ho un paio di scarpe. Quindi, se mi hai seguito su Instagram, probabilmente le hai viste a novembre. Ehm. Ma Memory mi ha gentilmente inviato un paio di scarpe e sono tutto. Ne sono ossessionata. Sono così sbalorditive. Prima di tutto, questo colore verde è tutto. Sono stata davvero presa dal verde. Penso che il verde sarà un colore che vedrai ripetutamente sul mio canale nel 2025. Non so perché. Sono stata davvero attratta dai pezzi verdi. Ehm. Comunque. Ecco come sono le scarpe. Queste sono le scarpe Emma in marrone. Sono solo marroni in marrone? E sono così. Voglio dire. Guarda quanto sono belle queste scarpe. Sono semplicemente tutto. Questa altezza del tacco è fantastica per tutti i giorni. Voglio dire. Non ho problemi a camminare sui tacchi tutto il giorno. Tipo. Sto benissimo. Ehm. Ma qualcosa del genere è fantastico per correre in giro e tipo non so. Davvero molto comodo. Questo è tipo quello che considererei una scarpa da corsa per me. Tipo queste sono scarpe davvero molto casual. Ehm. Ma io le adoro e sono tutte fatte di pelle. Davvero belle. Di alta qualità. E adoro che vengano fornite con questa piccola custodia antipolvere e tutto il resto. Quindi il primo che ho è questo cappello blu nevi. Sembra così. Ha una fascia rosa chiaro qui davanti. Ehm. E poi dietro ha una piccola fascia rosa chiaro con un piccolo fiocco dietro. Ed è semplicemente stupendo. Guarda che forma. È assolutamente sbalorditivo. Vedrò se riesco a inserire una clip di me che lo indosso. Perchè ho la sensazione che non si adatti molto bene ai miei capelli in questo momento. Ehm. Ma se lo fa. Inserirò una clip così voi ragazzi potete vederlo. Ma penso che questo sia così bello. E ho quel set blu nevi e rosa chiaro tipo anni quaranta che ha i fiocchi sui lati. E penso che abbinarlo a questo sarebbe assolutamente perfetto. Quindi sono davvero molto emozionata per la primavera. So che questo è più un acquisto invernale. Ma ho la sensazione che in primavera sarà l'abbinamento perfetto. Quindi sono davvero emozionata per questo. Ehm. E poi ho anche preso un altro cappello blu. Lo so. Ehm. Come Carolina, non hai bisogno di due cappelli blu nevi? Soprattutto quando ne hai un altro. Ma l'altro non mi sta tanto bene. Quindi ho finito per prendere questo. E questo è anche un cappello di feltro. Ed è semplicemente sbalorditivo. Non so se questo andrà bene neanche con i miei capelli. Ehm. In un certo senso sì. Sembra così. Dovrebbe andare un po' più in basso. Ma in questo momento ho quei piccoli chignon nei capelli. In ogni caso, è stupendo. Non penso nemmeno che questo stia molto bene in questo momento. Ma è proprio tutto. Ehm. E poi ha questi piccoli fili qui davanti con queste piccole cose tipo squiggle. Non so se la telecamera lo individuerà, ma è davvero molto carino. È di un bellissimo colore blu nevi. Quindi, penso che sarà perfetto per praticamente ogni singolo outfit. Si abbinerà a così tante cose. Quindi, sono entusiasta di questo. E poi, ultimo ma non meno importante, questa è l'ultima cosa che vi mostrerò. Ehm. È questo cappello color cioccolato fondente. E oh mio dio. Guardate il dettaglio qui davanti. Ha come questo piccolo. Ed è semplicemente sbalorditivo. Oh mio dio. Di nuovo. Non so se funzionerà con i miei capelli in questo momento, ma voi ragazzi avete capito. È così carino. Lo adoro. E poi il retro sembra così. È semplicemente oh mio dio. È così carino. E sì.
