Before dropping out of the race on June 7, 2008, Hillary Clinton participated in 26 Democratic primary debates, including six head to head match ups with then-Senator Obama. Here are some of her best moments.
It is imperative that we have a president, starting on day one, who can begin to solve our problems,
tackle these challenges, and seize the opportunities that I think await.
Well, I think everybody here knows I've lived through some crises and some challenging moments in my life.
And I just have to shake my head in wonderment, because with all of the challenges that I've had,
they are nothing compared to what I see happening in the lives of Americans every single day.
Making change is not about what you believe.
I push legislation through over the objection of the Pentagon, over the threat of a veto from President Bush.
I want to make change, but I've already made change. I will continue to make change.
I'm not just running on a promise of change, I'm running on 35 years of change.
Your record and what you say does matter.
And when it comes to a lot of the issues that are important in this race,
it is sometimes difficult to understand what Senator Obama has said,
because as soon as he is confronted on it, he says that's not what he meant.
He's very likeable. I agree with that. I don't think I'm that bad.
You're likeable enough.
Thank you so much.
These hypotheticals are very dangerous because they open a great big hole
in what should be an attitude that our country and our president takes
toward the appropriate treatment of everyone.
The guest who laid out this scenario for me with that proposed solution
was William Jefferson Clinton last year.
So he disagrees with you.
Well, he's not standing here right now.
So there is a disagreement.
Well, I'll talk to him later.
