On May 2018. Katherine, the Princess of Wales attended the wedding of best friend Sophie Carter.
Together with husband Prince William, the royal couple brought their two eldest children Prince
George and Princess Charlotte to attend the nuptials. The royals saw Sophie Carter marry
Robert Snuggs at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Norfolk on Saturday. Prince George and Princess
Charlotte took on a very special role for the big day and were chosen to be one of three
bridesmaids and one of four pageboys taking part in the ceremony. During the celebration,
the sometimes shy George was spotted marching alongside the other boys while the usually
gregarious Charlotte seemed a bit more reserved. Charlotte was a flower girl at the wedding of
her godmother, Sophie Carter, in Leathering Set, Norfolk, and was photographed cradled in the arms
of the beaming bride as the party emerged from St. Andrew's Church following the ceremony.
This is the second time the young royals have taken on central roles during a wedding,
as they acted as a bridesmaid and pageboy during the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in
May 2018. Sophie Carter is one of Kate's closest friends. The two have been seen frequently
together at various outings including from the tennis stands of Wimbledon to exclusive royal
gatherings. Sophie and the Princess of Wales have been friends since they were children and
she is said to be one of Kate's most discreet and trustworthy friends. To symbolise the strong
friendship, Catherine and William chose Sophie to be a godmother to Princess Charlotte in 2015.
On Saturday, May 2018, the The Princess of Wales attended Prince Harry and Meghan
Markle's wedding at St. George's Chapel in Windsor. Two of Kate's children had very special
roles in the ceremony, the youngsters joined some of Harry and Meghan's friends' children
and godchildren. The pageboys wore miniature versions of the Blues and Royals frock coats
worn by Princes Harry and William at the wedding. Catherine wore a primrose yellow wool silk coat
by Alexander McQueen. She debuted the piece back in 2015 at the christening of daughter Princess
Charlotte, who will turn seven. Catherine also has the same dress in a pale yellow colour,
which she wore to the 2018 wedding of her brother-in-law Prince Harry to Meghan Markle.
She accessorised the piece with beige heels and a hat featuring yellow flowers underneath
the side-tilted brim for the affair, where she helped wrangle the young bridal party.
To add a new sparkle to her ensemble at the Anzac Day service, Kate debuted a new halo
headpiece featuring a black bow in the back, which was accentuated by her black clutch and heels.
Catherine also sported pearl and diamond earrings that previously belonged to her
late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. Given to Diana as a wedding present from Collingwood Jewelers,
the gorgeous pearl earrings are now part of Kate's collection. Both Catherine and Prince
William, 39, sported red poppy pins, an artificial flower that has been used
since 1921 to commemorate military members who have died in war.
