L'Oreal Paris drew crowds to a celebrity-packed spectacle outside the French capital's historic Hotel de Ville on Monday, including Rai Bachchan in a bedazzled Manish Malhotra sherwani. The show also featured Andie MacDowell and Viola Davis, both wearing bright red lipstick, Jane Fonda in a golden bodysuit, and model Kendall Jenner, who closed the show, in a long, white gown
I think it sets the tone for the week.
It fills the night with so much excitement and energy
and it's always a fun show.
And to see all the global spokespeople from all over the world gathered,
it's a lot of fun.
And it's not our medium, we're like,
I'm not a model.
I'm not a model, but it's fun to pretend to be a model.
They say as you're aging, the things that you need to do
besides eating well and sleeping and exercising,
the most important aspect of your life is
basically friendships and sisterhood.
And I love the idea of all of us going out together,
supporting each other and loving each other
and being there and having each other's back.
I think that's a beautiful premise for walking in a show.
And I think with everything happening in the world right now,
it's really wonderful to be able to celebrate all the good
that is also happening.
And it's important to remember that there are incredible things
that women are doing out in the world
and L'Oréal Paris really stands up for women
and all the things that we can do when we're here together
and that we're powerful and strong together
and we can continue to empower one another.
And that's just a really important message to remember
and we are all worth it.
We just wait.
Something I would tell my younger self
and something I would tell every single woman out there today
is that you matter, your voice matters,
and you can stand by that, you can hold on tight to that.
The world may be a chaotic place, but you will always matter
and no matter what happens, don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.
Sisterhood is so important in my life,
and so I always tell young women,
find your sisters in life that are going to carry you through every stage,
whether it's a new job or moving to a new city
or marriage or motherhood.
You need a group of girlfriends that are going to lift you up
when you're down and applaud you when you're up,
and I think that is the greatest advice I got.
I've had my same friends, my same group of girlfriends and sisters for 30 years.
They've been with me through thick and thin,
and I don't think I could survive without them.
So sisterhood, sorority is very important.
I like my dog.
Woo!
Let's go!
