St Lucia - we try a day at the Windjammers Resort

It can sound expensive when you look at the fees charged by resorts to visit them, but if you don't wish to use the actual resort then the beach is free. Most Caribbean Islands have free beaches, even if there is a resort there. To the point, that if they have rows of chairs on the beach, you can ask them to move one so you can put a towel down. But there is no need to ask, they do let you on. The was no question when we arrived at Windjammers, and we pulled no special cards out of the hat other than we would pay our bill.
We were given a space near the beach bar, and account was set up, and a great day was had.
