Afifs deadly accuracy not enough! - Al Sadd SC vs Sharjah FC - Highlights ACL Elite

2011 Champions of Asia, Al Sad welcome ACL2 title holders Sharjah FC to the Yassin Bin Hamid Stadium, Matchday 2 in the West. Al Sad unbeaten in their last 16 encounters with teams from the UAE and with the likes of Akram Afif in their team, it's easy to see why. The talisman with an absolute rocket from the edge of the penalty area, precision the name of the game for the five-time Qatar player of the year, as he breaks the deadlock in just the 18 minutes straight from the restart though, that hard work down the drain as Bualam Kuhi handles the cross put in by Adel Terat, just like that, it's a way back into the game For the visitors, Sharjah on the penalty spot, Caio Lucas gives the opportunity to level things up straight away, but Meshal Barsha with a world-class stop, keeping the Sharjah captain out, in style, full stretch, what a stop that is by Meshal Barsha, Sharjah however not giving up just yet, five minutes before half-time, the attack again, Caio Lucas, Ibrahim to Manai on the spin, off the outside of the post, what a goal that could have been, lovely link-up play, great technique from Manai, inches away from an equaliser, it's Al Sad, they send a 1-0 lead at the break, some big moments from Meshal Barsha, keeping their noses in front as we head into the second half, 61st minute, Sharjah looking a little bit more dangerous in the second, 45, lovely ball over the top, and Manai, denied by the man of the hour, Meshal Barsha, not even looking at the ball that time, still able to come up with the save, the other way now, Al Sad, chance to perhaps double their lead, a decent effort from just inside the box there from Rafa Mujica, a simple save in the end for Darwish Mohamed, in goal, 72nd minute, action-packed second half here in Doha, Sharjah looking for a way back, and they find it in the 73rd, and now Caio Lucas does have his goal, second goal of the season in all competitions, lovely little dink over the top to pick him out by Adel Terabt, and now could there be another late winner on the cards, to an injury time on match day one for Sharjah, they've got a little bit more time than that left here, substitute Usman Kamara, picking up the ball, still on the ball, slight deflection, and of course Meshal Barsha keeps the substitute out with another world-class save, well at the end of it all, despite plenty of chances to take all three points for both sides, Al Sad and Sharjah settle for just the one under an entertaining draw in Doha.
