It's officially my birth week. Welcome back to a week in my life. Hi guys, it's Thursday and this Saturday, September 20th, is my 27th birthday and it really is so true. As you get older, you don't care as much. I know I sound like I care so much, but I really haven't thought about the fact that it's my birthday until right now and I said, you know, we're gonna start a birthday vlog because why not? Also so special, I don't share my birthday, but Ryan's birthday is on September 22nd. So his is on Monday, which is so fun. My mom's in town too, which is so fun to hear to see the new apartment and some other things. So she's actually taking me and Ryan to dinner tonight for our birthdays. But yeah, it's Thursday. We just did a fun Gals on the Go episode with both of our moms. Brooke's mom came in town. It was the best. So definitely go listen to Gals on the Go if you haven't already. Throwback to the days of birthday hauls, but Brooke did just give me a gift for my birthday. I freaked out. She brought it to the podcast recording because also Ryan and I are having a joint birthday party this Saturday. I'm so excited. It started out as like, let's just have a little housewarming. And then I was like, oh my gosh, our apartment is so not ready to have guests. And I just got nervous about a party. And then there was just more and more people we wanted to invite. And we wanted to have a bigger space that we just felt comfortable, like, you know, to invite everybody. So we are now doing like a full on party, like not with a theme like I've done in the past, but just like a bar tab for a few hours, private room, no themes, just good vibes. And I'm really excited. So we're doing that this Saturday on my birthday, but it's for both of our birthdays. And we made like a partiful as everyone does. And the photo in the partiful is a photo of Ryan and I on our 21st birthday. Our friends threw a surprise joint birthday party for us, like in college. It was so fun. So lots to look forward to. Also need to try on my potential outfits for this Saturday. We need to figure out what Ryan's wearing. He's like, what do I wear? I was like, I don't know. I don't even know what I'm wearing because I was so focused on fashion week and this apartment. And now like all my friends are texting me, what are you wearing? And I literally don't know. So kind of crazy. But this gift broke on me. I saw a Miu Miu box. I freaked out. Guys, it's a Miu Miu hat. And it's so freaking cute when you put it on. I love that it fits kind of like a trucker hat. Like I don't love, like I like a baseball cap, but to me, this is more, I mean, this is a baseball hat, but like I, baseball caps to me are like really stuck to your head and then trucker hats are a little lifted. I freaked out. It was this so nice of her, like seriously, Brooke, if you're watching this, thank you so much. I, I'm obsessed. So Brooke got me that. And then I actually, the electric pics team sent me some beautiful jewelry. And then this Jacques Moose hat, I'm like, wow, I guess designer hats is where we're at with me. Like, this is so cute for the beach. I don't think I put it on correctly. So cute. And then my management team, I saw this. I was like, oh my God, I guess I like, I mean, obviously I love Miu Miu. This is a really cute, I think it's like a bag charm. It's a little Miu Miu skirt. Like, I'm sorry. That's adorable. So I thought I would show you guys those really generous gifts. I just went with my mom to buy Ryan his birthday gift. I'm not going to open it up right now because I had them wrap it. But Ryan's mentioned a few times now that he's ready to graduate from wearing a backpack to work every day to a briefcase. So I actually texted one of his friends that he's mentioned. He's like, oh, my friend Ty, he's got one. He loves his. So I was like, Ty, like, what does yours look like? Everything. And so I went and I can't wait to give this to him because I think he's going to be like, oh my gosh, you remembered I said that? And I got it embossed with his initials in red. So it's a black briefcase, a black leather briefcase, but then it's his initials in red for like a little red and black, a little UGA, you know? So feeling really good. I just need to get a birthday card. So yeah, the September's always a crazy month because it's like both of our birthdays. So that's kind of the rundown. I also, I'm trying to think about what to do on his birthday because it's on a Monday and like we could go to dinner, which we probably will. I love them because their platform, which you guys know, I love a platform. I like to feel taller, but they're pointed. So I feel like they're going to be super flattering. I'm too lazy to like buckle it right now around my ankle. I just want to see the vibes. I mean, legs, hello. Oh my gosh, they're so cute. I wonder if they go with this outfit or if the, I mean, yeah, they definitely go. They're so tall. Okay, so outfit number one. This is the second option, which is this black dress and then it's sheer. And I thought it came with the unitard or like the whatever under it and it totally didn't. So I have like some black skims I'm trying it on, but it's just doing nothing for me. And it's not an inexpensive dress. It's pretty, but I don't think it's very va-va-voom like birthday. I don't know. I'm not crazy about it. Last but not least, we have this set from Cold Gaia, which is sick. It's like this brown leather set. I just kind of fake buckled them in the back. Obviously this is so me. It's very like cool girl, like the night on the town. It's not sparkly, but I feel so good in it. And I could like wear my hair slicked back in a ponytail and lots of jewelry. I do like this set, but is it just like for life? Also, this is so hard because you guys are gonna see this and I already have made my decision. So be nice, please. But this is so cute too. But I would need to like add something to make it a little bit more fun, but it's still like very me and I wanna feel me. Like I could dance in this all night. One last option. And I was like, oh, that is so me. I'm realizing this crotch is really low. So I have a very short torso. Oh, this is really cute. I think I like this. I'm liking it, I haven't changed it. But right now we've been pretty good about going to new coffee shops because he works from home on Fridays. So my mom's headed out later today, but she's going to join us for our coffee walk. She's got her little, her park sweatshirt on and her sweat pant jeans. All her stuff. So trendalish. I'm wearing my new hat that broke off me. I'm silly, I'm obsessed. I'm obsessed. It's so nice of her. So we're going to get the day started, get some coffee and then go from there. But starting to feel like, oh my gosh, it's birthday weekend. Like seriously, this clothing rack is up because my mom was using it as a closet. But when Ryan got back the other day, he helped me move the dresser here, put the desk on the rug. It's so grand. It's such a vibe. Like I can't get over it. And actually you guys, our Murphy bed's getting delivered today, which honestly isn't ideal because it's not the type of weekend that we're going to get that all put together and installed because of B-Day. But picture a Murphy bed. It's white and it looks like bookshelves and cabinetry. So it'll look very grand, hopefully, behind the desk. And we're loving it. We're so happy. I love how the rug looks. Like it's just so great. So I wanted to give you guys a little update. Update, mom is getting to see so many friends this week. Now we're headed, she's requested to go to breakfast with Kelly and Cass, which is adorable. She's like, I need to like get to know them more because you hang out with them all the time. I was like, yes, I love it. Cause it is weird. Like, you know, in high school, you would know all my friends cause they'd come over and stuff, but now we don't do that. So we're headed to Cafe Clooney, meeting up with them now. And I'm really excited. I know you're going to really like it. It's in the West Village, very cute. Kelly's always happy here. I'm so excited to eat some eggs and bacon. She's getting a little makeup by Kelly on one-on-one right now. Getting your makeup routine approved. Oh boy, you guys, Brian had to move out there to work because our Murphy bed just got delivered. We got a beautiful white Murphy bed from Wayfair. Very excited about it, but oh boy, this is going to be a journey, but it's here. So that's exciting. Just said goodbye to mom. Very sad, but she will be back always. And I'm going to make some coffee. I freaking love our new machine. I also got these really cute little pumps and I put hazelnut and vanilla in them and they come with stickers. I totally messed up the hazelnut one. Good job, Danny. Good, good job. But I love this because, I've already told you guys this, but these are Ryan's caffeinated beans. I do usually decaf and it literally cleans out the grinder. It's cleaning out the grinder right now. And then I'm going to be able to switch it out for my decaf. This is just so fun and I get to make myself a little fun latte. Yes, so grind and empty, por favor. Also, we've learned through routine that Ryan loves making smoothies every single day. And he was using like my old Nutribullet from college that was like pink and it just, we know how I feel about an aesthetic. And you know what? He was like, I'd really, cause I was putting it away. And he was like, I'd really like to keep it out on the counter, which I totally understand and he lives here too. So I got this one from Our Place and it just looks so much nicer. And it's a lot quieter and it stops when you're done blending. So love that. I don't know where the top of it is, but probably cause he had a smoothie this morning, but loving that. What do I want? Oh wait, I gotta switch it out now. Perfect. And we're gonna do, I got this little thing from Amazon to like pour the shots into my cup. We'll do, oh, we're on Ryan's profile. Like, I just feel so grateful for you guys, for my friends, for my family, for my relationship, for my, like, I always get so emotional around my birthday, and just, like, randomly, especially at night, like, when I'm, like, vibing, just alone. I just, I feel so grateful. Like, I've had so many friends reach out to me today, like, what are you doing before your birthday? Like, how are you feeling? Like, just, like, those little check-in things, and it's, like, feels so good to know that I've really curated, or attracted, or just created this group of people around me that really care about me, and I really, I don't take it for granted. And I feel so grateful for the friendships and relationships and everyone in my life, like, including you guys. Like, you guys have sent me the sweetest messages today, and always, like, not even about my birthday. Like, honestly, it's, like, 27-whatever. But I'm just feeling loved, and I'm feeling really, really, really grateful. And I just didn't want you guys to forget that. He made reservations for lunch at Bar Premie, which is like my favorite restaurant in New York. I always tell people to go there. I just love their food. And yeah, we're gonna go shopping. There's a couple of stores that I was actually wanting to go to because my mom and I were walking around the other day, but we didn't really have time. And I was like, I wanna go back there and gotta love a Soho Saturday. And what else are we gonna do? Yeah, then we'll go to lunch and then we'll come back, get ready. And then we have our birthday party tonight at Armada. I forget what I told you guys, but yeah, it's at Armada in Lower East Side. And it's not as crazy of a party as I've had in the past. It's like chilly out, but honestly, I feel like I'm gonna need to take the jacket off very quickly after we go outside. So, but no, it'll be good. I'm excited. First stop is Zara. Update, I did not get them because I could just tell I would get blisters. So I'm gonna see if I can find some similar that have like a slingback instead. The back was just so hard. I just felt like it was more of a wow factor, and I love how it has like a slight flare at the end, and I just think it's sick, and my friend's approved, so. Gonna do that. I need to pull hair and makeup inspo, but we're gonna do Slickback Pony. I guess I have to decide if I, I think I want like some big bouncy curls in the pony. I need to figure out which birthday transition I wanna film. So much to do. We are in the lab. That looks nice. I put on my outfit to really see the effect. We're gonna go to Dudley's, just Ryan and I for dinner, and then Armada, the bar we're having at, is literally across the street. Like we will walk there. So it's perfect, so we can just have like a little moment together, have some dinner, and a little drink using this bag. And then also played, like, she ended the night for us with Beer Never Broke My Heart by Luke Combs, which was so fun. There was, like, eight of us left and we just jammed to Luke Combs. What are other moments? Oh, we obviously called the dogs, which was so fun. And everyone got so into it, but I just feel so grateful that, like, everyone was, like, down to have a good time. I really do think having a DJ switches it up because they were basically like, if you have a DJ, we have, like, speakers and stuff and, like, connection for them, or you can do a playlist. And I'm so, so, so glad that we brought Marissa because it just, like, changes the vibe of the night. I don't know how to explain it. And I just feel so grateful that my friends know, like, I like to dance, so let's dance. Brooke had a music festival and came straight from there and brought the vibes. We're immediately on elevated surfaces dancing. Like, so fun. All my favorite people. I just can't get over it, and I can't get over that it's a beautiful, sunny day again today, and I'm not dying of hungoverness. This is just unheard of. Is this what 27 is? Because I am down for it. Down for the vibe. So we're gonna make coffee, my new favorite little coffee machine. Also, like, my hair was fully slicked back last night, and the hairspray she used, this is amazing. Like, I was able to brush right through it. So good, it's L'Oreal Elnett. We're gonna make coffee, and we're gonna have a good day. Ryan's like, what do you wanna do today? I was like, that's such a fun question. I don't know. We are opening gifts now. Just opened this really beautiful dress from Ryan from Revolve, so thank you. And he also got me this electric heating pad, because I, you know, cramp once a month, and this, like, stays on you, and it heats up. I've never had one of these, so thank you. And then my grandma and grandpa sent us a few things for the both of us. Oh, it's cozy. This is the life, I can feel it. This is the life. Is that what yours says? Yep. It's very cute. And then we've got, here, you open that one. I'll open this one, I don't know. I don't know who's for what. She said these are housewarming gifts, so. Oh, this is your tape measure. Oh! Oh, I think you should've opened that one, I opened this one. That's so cool. Oh, it's a tape, wait, this is so frickin', and then you press it to hold it. Oh, that's so, is it an apron for grilling? Is it? I think it's an apron for grilling you just put around your waist. Oh, your waist. That's so cool. Very cool. Let me show the girls. The man, the myth, the man, the legend. Doing a big clean, and I was going through the gifts we received, and I thought, I misspoke, I thought McKenzie got a soap, which I love. It's the home fragrance, which we don't have, and I'm so excited, that was so generous. Our whole apartment's gonna smell like tomatoes, I love it. If you guys haven't smelled this before, you need to. It's just like a very fresh scent. Doing a true Sunday reset, and I'm gonna make just one little espresso shot latte situation. I got this cup on Amazon. How cute is she? So I want to, I don't know if that'll fit, actually. I put just a little vanilla syrup in there. I'm gonna do one espresso. Give it a little try. That's really good. It is time for a Trader Joe's run. We planned our meals, fashion week's over, so our schedule is so much chillier this week, and we're gonna do a good old Sunday grocery run. It's probably gonna be so crowded. It is a zoo in here, you guys. We sure did a haul at Trader Joe's today. Couple standouts, we got three different meals for the week. We got stuff to make tomato cucumber salad, broccoli stir fry, and pork chops. So some of this is like ingredients for that, but a couple standouts. I used to get this all the time in college, and me and Ryan, Ryan's eating one right now. This doesn't have protein with it, so you need to like add your own, but it's so good. Never seen this before. About to like maybe heat it up right now. The white queso. Also got buffalo style chicken dip. Wow, my mouth's watering. I really like this sourdough bread that they have. Ooh, I haven't tried these before, but sometimes it's nice to have a little sweet treat. Brownie cookies, brookies, some dippers, and what else? Oh, Ryan and I have been loving these. Prosciutto with mozzarella. I had a great little appetizer when we were cooking dinner. Ryan has been cooking a lot of these on the grill, on the roof, and he just has it as meal prep for the week for lunch, for work. It's great. Kabucha, he's finally trying egg whites, these liquid things, because he always cracks the eggs and then leaves the yolk and puts it back in the fridge. So he's gonna try these. Pork chops back there. But yeah, that's the standouts. I'm gonna put all this away now, but I think I wanna heat this up right now. It's a very nice snack before dinner, if I do say so myself. I feel like such a healthy, like, put-together couple today. Going to get groceries, going for a walk along West Side Highway, like, come on. Feeling elite. It's literally just because I thought today I wouldn't be doing anything, so this is very exciting. We're back from our walk. It's time for dinner. We're gonna do tomato cucumber salad, per Ryan's request. I'm so glad he likes it. We're gonna add peppers this time, because they didn't have any red onions, so I was like, you know, I was wanting to add peppers anyways and it's gonna be so good. Ta-da! Did I do good? Do you like it? Really good. Yay! It's such a refreshing dinner! On our walk, I was chewing gum, and all of a sudden I felt like a crunch in the back of my mouth, and my tooth, fully, like a little bit of it chipped off. I've never had that happen before, and now every time I drink water or I eat, it's like, ugh, and like, if I like bring it over, it's like, stings, and it's so uncomfortable, and I'm literally gonna have to find a dentist. I'm sure there's someone in New York City that can fix this tomorrow, but really wasn't, you know, something I wanted to do. But I'm grateful that it's this week and not like during fashion week or something, when it was really crazy. This coming week is pretty chill, but tomorrow's Ryan's birthday! Go, shawty, it's your birthday. We're gonna party like it's your birthday. We actually really need to figure out what he keeps changing his mind, and what he wants to do tomorrow. So, but I'm excited to give him his gift! And I need to fix my tooth. We just got all the photos back from the party last night. The photographer truly delivered, but like, it's just so nice to see all my friends. He gave me an album of like, all my friends, me and my friends, and then this one is like, me and Ryan's photos we took before. Like, I'm sorry. How fun, coming out of the bar, like so cute. I always love getting a photographer, because then you're like, oh my god, these people were talking, or wait, this is cute, me and my friend Lawson. Like, I just love seeing what everyone was up to. You know, like people waiting in line. Like Katie, Katie did a photo shoot while waiting in line for the bathroom, I guess. He was just pulling random people. He did such a good job. Like, this makes me so happy. This is so fun to look at. There's so many photos. I can't even get through them all. There's me talking to somebody. So fun, fun night. Out on the roof right now. Ryan's got the game on, and he's grilling for the week. I thought I'd come up. It's actually quite chilly, so I might go back down. But it's so lovely up here. I was like, in the winter, Ryan's gonna be the only one up here with gloves. Meal prepping for the week. Ryan just gave me my last gift. It just came in. Got to silly. It's comfort colors. It's so nice. We always talk about having like silly days, silly goose. So this is so funny. I'm gonna wear it to bed tonight. I just took a shower. It was so funny. I got in the shower to do a body shower because I don't usually like to wash my hair at night and go to bed with wet hair. And then I was just really wanting to get my hair wet. So, you know, halfway through the shower, you're like, I'm gonna wash my hair. That's what I did. So now I need to make sure to blow dry it a little bit. So I don't go to bed with wet hair, but we're gonna stay up till midnight and then it'll be Ryan's birthday. I'm so excited. But I'm gonna end the vlog here. This was such a fun birthday weekend.
